Control rod for a rotating cone.

They should all be safety wired and in good practice should also be torque striped as they are control linkages.

It looks like surface metal oxidation/corrosion. Can overtime penetrate linkages and cause failure. That is the problem with equipment operated in corrosive environments.

Everyone gets one fatal accident and I'm not yet interested in mine.

Spare ribs on the smoker at 250 degrees. The rack in the front are the ones I got from Wash11. Specifically waited for the smoker to make those. See you in 3 hours.

Chapter One, Santa Ana

Getting ready to wrap the ribs.

Using butter, brown sugar, and honey.

I'll pull them off the smoker, wrap them up, and then put them back on the smoker for 2 hours.

Pulled off the smoker, wrapped in foil, and put back on for another 2 hours.

PS any reason why the center section of the hatch has a yellow tint compared to the rest? It's really only noticeable in photos or if you're looking for it. Seems to be original
