Yes You're right about these timeless Schiada boats. Their owners pour a

ton of money into them though and keep them shiny, but I think We

Stoker guys are the true rulers of the river though :D

Boat was restored, upgraded and re-rigged by Al Stoker. 2001 Evinrude

225 H.O. Rude Ram rigged new 2003,(just about 250 hours now). Paid

more than $20K for her and then spent more than $33,000 on upgrades

the last 8 years. A $5,000 Alpine stereo just installed 15 months ago.

Engine service done with new twin battery set-up($1,800).

Boat is very, very nice. Absolutely turn-key and is a 10 out of 10

mechanicly. Nice overdimentioned trailer.

Call +1.714.788.7701 if interested. Mid $20's O.B.O. Offers encouraged.

Left for Europe 5 years ago and in the end decided not to sell Her, but let my brother keep her. Felt like we had spent to much effort and money on her, while making her perfect, to give her up. Well my brother never found the time to use her. She sat in a garage for a year and a half, but the over-sized trailer sat outside and is OK, but not up to Schiada standard anymore. Works great, but got surface rust in a few places and diamond plating needs to be re-done. Boat has always been stored inside and has the last 4 years been back at her original indoor storage, Desert Lakes Storage in Fort Mohave, AZ. At the storage they put two new tires on the trailer for me a month ago, so a buyer could tow her home. When the boat had a full detail a couple months ago I was informed that there's now a stain on the carpet that caused discoloring. Al Stoker did a full service on the motor after boat was run last time in 2012. He also changed the hydraulics on the jack-plate. Motor has only about 300 hours. The 2001 Evinrude 225 H.O. Rude Ram is basically an early E-Tec technology and Al truly liked these engines. 247 hp at the prop, quiet, clean and bullet proof.

Boating season already started months ago, so not a great time to sell her, but rather than paying $2k in storage for another year I prefer that somebody use her now. Not asking mid $20k's this time around since a couple of things need to be done to make her mint again. Boat is very capable and could even be a great ski-race boat. Lee Spindler remembered this boat with fondness when I asked him about it. Lee and his father Ron where pretty new owners of Schiada Custom Boats when she was laid up.

Price: $15,000 o.b.o.

Phone +1.714.788.7701

Kind regards, Lars.

$12,500 o.b.o.

Forgot to mention that we spent $7,000 on a complete new transom with beefed up knees etc. on Al Stoker's recommendation with Orange County Boatworks back in 2010. Al then re-rigged
her again like he originally did in 2003. The transom is now all yellow gel instead of original multi color. Could be seen in photos. Can't remember what the bill with Al was for the re-rigging, but he was always very fair with us, he and his John's Custom Marine is truly missed. Got a twin outboard Team Scarab 31 by Larry Smith when we came back from Europe, to use in the ocean off SoCal, and since extended family keep saying that they want to keep using the Schiada for the river, but in practice doesn't do, then I can't justify to keep it.

Thanks RiverDavesPlace as always!

It's important to remember the value of these type of enthusiast forums. We all learn from and get inspired by each other and the fantastic water crafts that we get exposed to when frequenting this

forum. Since I bought this Schiada 15 years ago I never regretted the purchase, but I wish that I had let a family, like the buyer's, got the opportunity to enjoy and be the caretaker of Her 5 years

ago, when my extended family for nostalgic reasons wanted to keep Her, but then just stored Her without using Her. These quality boats far outlive us if taken care of and realizing that no matter

what we are only privileged caretakers of them is essential. Lesson learned.

Can't wait to see Her after the new knowledgeable owner does his upgrades to Her. Most of all I'd like to thank the greatest person, race champion, guru outboard mechanic Al Stoker and His Father

John Stoker of John's Custom Marine that rigged Her right, always serviced Her and gave plenty of advice over the years. So i.m.h.o., one can not go wrong with a Schiada or Stoker for the river and

for the ocean I know the Team Scarab 31 by Larry Smith will get the job done for us.

Thank You to Lee Spindler and His Father Ron for having kept the Schiada boat brand alive for almost 40 years after their acquirement of the company from it's late legendary founder,

Mr. Leonard Joseph Schiada, February 14th 1920 - April 1st 1981. May Leonard & His Wife Doreen rest in peace.
