Been awhile since I've updated. Had some painter issues that really set me back.... Finally found someone that's doing really good work. I pick up the remaining parts from him later this week (cab, fuel tank, grill insert & hood). But, mechanically it's sound. Gave it a fresh oil change today with Lucas & started it up for the first time in close to a year. Starting on seats this week, hope to be done in about a month :D

You need to get rid of the dual wheel cylinder brakes !! That was the biggest problem with these! I did 3 of the small block conversions back in the day!One of my buddy's backed his off a cliff because he did not have a chance to Double pump the brakes ! Lucky he got stuck on a tree about 20' down the hill.

Ouch!

I really want to keep it as stock as possible. I've actually put in a ton of time on them - all new cylinders, shoes, turned drums, a bunch of time adjusting / bleeding, etc. It stops almost like a disk brake car, but just in case the e-brake works really well :D.

Thanks for all the compliments!

I few more pics of it coming together. Doing seats this week. Did one of the rear windows myself & amazed I didn't scratch the paint. Going to have the rest installed by a pro, they have a window key that's a bitch to get in. After seats, I'll hang the doors. Lots of little odds & ends, but the end is near :D

Thanks Guys!

very nice you keeping or selling?

I'll be selling... I've realized I enjoy working on them more than sitting around appreciating it afterward.

When is the shake down taking place?

Probably driven it about 20 miles around the neighborhood... First victim is a transfer case leak, one more item to the list. LOL

Nice work mark, bring it over tomorrow and show it off.

Would like to, need to see the new place. Not plated yet though. Need to get a letter from Allstate stating it is a collector car, so the MVD won't require a smog check. J has a baseball game this morning, just hanging out afterward - want to check out the new pad if you guys are around.

Yeah... LOL The more I got going, the more I didn't want to half ass it. But, could triple my money tomorrow - it was well worth it.

Damn straight. As soon as I sell something to free up some room, I'm jumping both feet into the CVX :thumbsup. Will be letting you know when I do.
