    80% build party

Who's done this? Anyone here on the boards interested? I'm toying with the idea, but would like to get in with people I 'know'. I've been browsing calguns.net, tons of info. More info than I can digest as a newbie quite frankly.

I would be interested, I was going to purchase the jig and a few lowers for some spares. If it's local to the I.E. or O.C. and the price is right I'll be there.

An 80% lower is the beginnings of a rifle, but not complete enough to require it to be registered because it needs special skills and tools to become a firearm. A build party is where people get together and share their tools and skills to complete the lowers. I figured with the machinists and enthusiasts around here it would be a possibility to put together.

    Starts out like this....

I'm interested if it is in the OC/IE area. Would appreciate some links to good value trigger assemblies and BCG's and etc.

Trigger assemblies/lower parts kits are usually the cheapest from CMMG and sometimes DPMS. Try OC Armory in Irvine, they have pretty good prices on those internal components. Take a look at Anderson Manufacturing and JD machine for somewhat cheap BCG's.

Timney makes a nice self contained(and adjustable) trigger assembly.
