Some friends want to do a sxs and bike ride to Oatman. Is it doable, and is it worth it?

I've done Needles to Oatman, doable and very fun. An old RDP member took us on that run and it was a blast!!

I've heard Oatman is a really cool place to visit. The road from the 40 to Oatman is supposed to be really interesting. Lots of switchbacks through the mountains. It's on my list to visit.

Really nice ride on a Harley from Havasu but a really long day on a SxS. I think it would be a blast, just make sure you have plenty of provisions.

We're going to Oatman on Monday from Havasu.... Looks like a cool place to visit, too many of us for offload, taking the trucks.

Don't know offroad trails. Been on the Harley a few times. From Havasu, I-40 west to Topock/Oatman exit. Thru Topock and to Golden Shores. At GS, go straight at the 'Y' (left takes you to AZ95 at the Arco just north of Needles). At the 'Y', you're on old Rt66 to Oatman. Really cool drive/ride on old 66. If you gots lots of time, drive thru Oatman and out the backside to Kingman. Thats where the tight switchbacks are (hard imagine early travel on 66). Takes you to I-40 just a little bit west/south of Kingman.
Take lots of pix!

Went up there yesterday from Havasu. It was snowing, but it was really cool. Wife and kid loved it. Went off the 40 at Topoc. Be careful lots of wild burros along the way, not just in town.

Starting to plan a trip to Oatman in the RZR from Havasu. Went to Golden Shores a few weeks ago. My builder does it all the time in his Can-Am.

Lets do it! What's wrong with the Rhino?

dont know for sure yet, i haven't had time to tear it apart, but i suspect that the c-clip came off. either that or a broken CV joint.
