Cool pics. How long does it take you to flush the salt out of everything??

i have a little AN hose fitting to a hose that I hook up and it runs water throughout the motor, risers, exhaust, hoses, etc and comes out of the exhaust without me having to run the motor. i hook that up inline with a "salt away" inline hose deal until i cant taste salt on my tongue from the water coming out of the exhaust. then i unhook that and i hook up the ears to the drive and start it until the drive pumps fresh water out of the exhaust as well and flushes out all the salt away. i have it down to a good system now and i can put the boat back in the garage in about 30-45 minutes washed with soap and trailer washed. but the motor and bilge still are salty and ill clean and polish that all back to normal during the week.

it'll be a LOT easier once I finish my hatch and I can get this all covered up...

Any worry about the trailer rotting away?

its a rolled steel C channel competitive... not a box tube like an extreme so theres really nowhere for water to pool or sit. i rinse and wash it along with the boat after every dip. no signs of rust so far... im gonna do a full strip and repaint at some point. my only worry is the bearing seals, etc.

dont get me wrong, salt is tough on stuff. but if you wash it shouldnt be a worry.

and tear down time... 21 bahner hull with tanks for sale, no motor, no trailer. you can see the new floor and transom put in about a year ago. only hit the water ~10 times with it.

Im confused: you spent all this time building the bahner then before it seemed totally complete, pulled all the parts out and are starting a new boat? Was there something wrong with the bahner?

well theres that. the warlock is newer, deeper vee, an open bow, and the helm is pushed about 2 feet forward from the bahner which gives much more space interior wise. its also about 6" wider overall yet same length so it still fits in my garage.

I get all that, no disagreement there. I guess it just seems odd to me to spend so much time building a boat that was not the right fit in the first place. But maybe the building part is the most fun?

Clean build you did with the boat, people on the forum have been saying to ask you about about the situation I have going on with my boat and the flooring. If you get a chance take a look at my thread any help on it would be appreciated since this is the first boat project I've had.
