So I purchased a new throttle control from Eddie Marine. It was replacing an old Gaffrig controls. I asked them if it was different base and they said they were the same, my bad, i should have measured. Anyway, i now need to figure out how to make it fit. I called Eddie Marine and he said the shop was too busy to do a one-off, but they can get it finished for me. I am guessing pretty much any machine shop could knock this out pretty quick. Not real sure how to design it though. I was thinking I would have them make it so the plate bolts in place first and then bolt the shifter down, but I would like to hide the set of screws for the adapter plate, not sure.

So does this seem like a quick job and what would be a decent price? Thanks

Top plate looks flat. Easy job.

If the top plate isn't flat, a second plate bolting to the boat would also be drilled to accommodate your new shifter assembly could be made. It will look a little more clumsy, but it will work. Make sense?

Stainless or aluminum?

Aluminum, I imagine $150. would do it.

Buy the bezel, if it doesn't cove the hole use the bezel as a pattern to make a bigger aluminum plate.

It's never a quick job if you want a quality machined part. Jus sayin. However, it shouldn't take to long for something like that.
