Spent the weekend in Grand Lake, Oklahoma on a feature shoot for H2O Full Throttle Magazine. Had a blast with the boys and girls of E-Dock-- probably the baddest collection of hardware to be found in one place anywhere.

One for the ages. E-Dock Rules - a set on Flickr

Absolutely amazing photos jayboat! Thank you for sharing them! One of these days I'd like to go out to the east coast to see how the other half of the country does it.

Thanks for the nice comments!

Dave, if you come this way, I'd suggest either the Jacksonville Poker Run or Key West in Nov during the week of the world championship. Both great events.

Here's the wakemaker- 57 Carver, Special Pimpmo Edition. :D

HOLLY SHIT!!!

I thought I tended to get some air in my little boat when I would get the lower unit out of the water! MY GOD!

I wonder how hard the landing is in those tunnels from that high up since they trap the air and dont use the water as a cushion as much as the V's do.

What you said makes no sense to me, but it's early for me right now.. LOL

They were definitely bringin' it- especially Brandon (blue/yelo Skater), Michael (Hammertime) and Tyson (Gladiator). They were hittin' that wake at 100+. Fearless!

They were landing right beside us, literally within a 150ft and closer... it was different, being able to hear the hull slap down on the water. Not as loud as I though it would be, tho.

The tunnel traps the air and compresses it more so than just the water. Its a little harder landing where as the Vee just displaces the water and is a little softer. Thats one of the biggest differences I notice between my Uncle's boat and my boat. His is a tunnel and tends to slap the water when not aired out or coming down from getting some air. Versus where mine tends to kinda slice into the water.

Nope. Thats why I said I wonder. The experience I have in tunnels vs. Vee's in that situation is limited to smaller boats and that is what I have noticed in them.

You ain't kiddin. Brandon was hitting the wake at 110 on a few of the passes.

Spine Tingler broke a six drive and had some 'issues'- he was jumping hard every time and over the course of both days probably had 30 jumps.

Can't put a price on fun.

Here's another good one of Spine Tingler... you can see the two guys on the port side leaning over to help level it out! ;)

I congratulate you on the pictures - they really capture the moments and I swear I can almost hear the roar of the motors and drives (and that chick in the Cigarette you caught screaming during the jump).

Good stuff, thanks! :champagne:

Just got my article of h20 full throttle this week and was reading that article last night, i take it these photos were the ones published within, looks like a few of the shots are identical.

I like a lot of things about that magazine, i'm not referring to the fact that its all about $500,000+ equipment, i just like the way it's edited and layed out, it doesn't seem as full of bullshit and advertising like other boating magazines, it's very clean, pleasing to the eye, and easily keeps your attention.

Glad you like the book, I'll pass your nice words along to Ned. I would wager he wouldn't mind a few more ad pages in there. :D

Some of the shots were used in the mag- I don't have any editorial control over which ones are chosen for publication. But here... I post my favorites. ;)
I shot over 3000 frames that weekend, so I got a few left.

Here's the first poster from the shoot. Available in two sizes: 12x48 or 16x72.
