The good prop is still in the mold and won't be ready for another week or 2. We're just trying something close to it to make sure we're going in the right direction. He's got some new fang dangled design that he's come up with that's supposed to be the new hot thing. But what do I know?

I ended up getting ahold of Wilkes and I'm gonna stop by his shop to get a couple on my way outta town tomorrow. Thanks though.

Well we're a lot closer with this propeller. Carries the nose nice but went the same top speed but at 6000rpm's. Gets there real quick. Mid range cruising is a lot better. :thumbsup

Well the hoopty did pretty good this weekend. Burned a bunch of fuel. The propeller Wilkes gave me worked very well and its almost perfect. We still got a couple more he wants to test that are coming out of the mold this week. Boat runs very well. This motor is bad ass. Didn't think it would pull so hard in this tank. Definitely throws you back in the seat. Got a couple minor water leaks to tend to but other than that we're just about there. From 30mph to its top speed is almost instant. Really puts a grin on your face. Takes a nice set and my buddy was watching me from shore and says it rides right on the trailing edge of the turn fin which is great. :thumbsup

Sounds like you just about got what you want.

The boat runs about the same as the howard on the top end yet pulls harder has way more room and freeboard.

Not to mention now you have a v drive to dick around with
