Thanks Dave. It has it's fair share of cracks (gunnels, non-skid) in the gel, but looks good from 10 feet. Still sorting out some issues. I've ran it up to 68.8 on GPS, not sure what RPM that was at, but I'm sure it was getting up there. With a Morse hand throttle and the button for the actuator on the gunnel instead of the wheel, there is a lot going on at that speed. The v-drive is stamped 15s, and my guess is that is what is still in the box (need to check). It's got a 12x15 Menkins 3-blade on it. Not sure that is the right prop for the boat. I'm sure there is a better prop/gear combo out there, my only concern is putting a bigger gear in it and having a hard time getting a skier up with the Velvet Drive (no 2nd gear to get up on plane). I've seen the boost gauge up at 15 lbs. Tom Scahill remembers the boat running 80mph on Clearlake in it's younger years.

i have the same boat rigged slightly different "manual cav plates & c500", very similar engine size and components, with the exact same turbo system and prop and it will do better than 80 all day. you'll see!
TTspectra,
If your boat is running 80 thats very respectable!
My friend Jim Brock did some work on your boat, I have seen it
upclose, you did well!
Good Luck,
Brent

What gear is in your C500?
Not an exciting vid, but it ran for once...

Glad to see you got it out on the water! I absolutely love this boat. The old school Shag, the OG Turbo setup.. All of it. I'd love to find something like that for a mid week cruiser!
Did you ever get it all dialed in? What did it end up running?
