Greetings, fellow Campbellites!

Yep, it's finally cooling off now, weather-wise, and most of our boats are probably currently hibernating. But it won't be too much longer before 2016 makes its arrival, and much like rust, your faithful Campbell Club organizers NEVER sleep and are constantly planning. So, in order to give all of us time to rearrange the timing of our 2016 medical procedures, boat repair timetables, parole officer hearing dates, body piercings/Brazilian waxes, etc., so as not to interfere with our boat club events, here are the 2016 dates to clear some room around in order to attend the Campbell events:

February 13, 2016
Klambake Event: This basically non-boating event involving eating and partying at a member's home is held just to get together, because December and January are such boring boating months. The Club furnishes the main entr?es, and attending members are invited to bring a side dish, hor d'oeuvres, or dessert to share. It should be noted that a few intrepid boating souls DO launch their boats on Sunday and gather informally on a beach just to show "boating machismo" and prove that their boats still run. Wearing jackets on board feels really weird! Details on registration, pricing, and location will follow as the date approaches.

There are other activities going on in Havasu at the time of our Klambake that might be of interest to Club members planning to hit town that weekend:
The 27th Annual Western Winter Blast Pyrotichnics Show runs February 11-14 at Sara Park.
The 8th Annual Havasu Rockabilly Reunion will be held over the weekend at Windsor Park.

May 12-14
Spring Round Up: This is a boating event where we run together in a ragged mess from Thompson Bay to Park Moabi, (Pirate Cove), in the morning and party on the beach. Details including registration & pricing, what to bring, etc. will be provided in advance.

September 23-25
44th Campbell Regatta: This is our most widely attended annual boating event. Members have been known to pull out third loans on their homes in order to pay for boat repairs required in order to make this event. We usually try to pick a theme for the event on which to base the yearly T-Shirt design, and that allows members the option of wearing silly "theme" clothes in order to solicit "interesting" comments from other members. A dinner, a boat run to Pirate Cove, lunch on the beach, and a breakfast run on Sunday morning to The Spring's Restaurant is the basic plan. For those lucky enough to have the time, an informal beach party on Three Dunes Beach usually follows the Sunday breakfast, and lasts well into the afternoon. Details on registration, T-Shirt orders, and pricing will be provided in advance.

So that's the outline for the 2016 Campbell Club events, and it promises to be a fun year welcoming and "indoctrinating" our new members and heaping insults, lies, and ridicule upon "old" members and their pride & joy Campbell's.

Stay tuned, (attentively and boat-wise), and we hope to see everyone at the events!!
