Pill it to kill it:D

Wouldn't be the first thing I drove with nitrous:D:bowdown:

And not the first thing you lost to with Nitrous. :skull

Years ago I got my ass handed to me by a Grand National at Terminal Islands track. I swear I was on the hunt the next day to put Nitrous on the bug and a friend of mine was able to stop me. Things would have gotten out of control as that car was a handful without the nitrous. :D

I have never had an issue with nitrous and if I was building a straight track car its probably the route I would have gone...

I ran it on a 1990 mustang that was esentially stock and gutted on slicks. That car made 200 hp to the wheels na and 330 to the wheels on a simple dry shot.

Did I mention stock 90K clutch and factory shitty 3:08 gears.

For the amount of coin invested that bitch ran hard and surprised alot of people...lol

Nitrous is a blast. I probably went through 15 or 20 10 lb bottles of that stuff in the first V-8 rail I built. It had a mild 355 with decent 1.94 camel hump heads, a 750 Holley and about 10 to 1.
The plate system was set at 100 HP and every time I hit the button it was a giant smile maker. If I ever build a mild street machine again it'll have a plate on it just for smile value.
I dunno if it would be wise to squeeze the Teryx.

Sorry for getting off topic, this is a response to the dyno stuff about 100 posts ago. Dyno's are kinda useless to take hp numbers from one dyno to another. Some Dynos read high, also there are different ramp and inertia factors that may not have the same settings dyno to dyno, run to run.

All you should be concerned about with the dyno run is that they Gained you some power, and safened the AFR, don't be totally sold on the hp number of 52.

We've dynoed rhino's up here, a buddy had one with all kinds of head porting, larger valves, 11:1 compression, cam, wide open intake and free flow exhaust, it only showed right around 29ish hp, but it boned out pretty damn good. The dyno is a tuning tool, not a bragging tool to show how much power you are making.

agreed.....

The most important factor is the hp gained. No matter how you slice it a 9hp gain across the board on any sxs is huge.

It will be intresting to se how it runs compared to some other cars...Dasa is known for building some of the nastiest quad, motorcycle and sxs motors on the planet.

I wish I had the cash for another 30 hp:D

We sleeved the new bars and found a design that we thought would look good as a 3 seater and provide good protection for my kid

Thanks everyone.....

It actually looks better in person. Nice thing is the way they first built the cage if you loosen 2 bolts the bed still dumps for servicing.

I'd put one more hoop across it further forward, and make a little removable canvas cover to keep your kid out of the sun. :)

Looks bitchen though!

I quick pinned the seat so I can take it out when he's not with me and I didn't want a cage that screams hey look at my kiddie mobile....He will be really secure in there as he sits about 3" below the top of the seat.

Canvas tops are for little girls....:skull:cool:

I might have a roof net made in the future though when he gets taller.

I added up the tubing footage before and after.....

I believe we added less than 6' of 0.95 tubing. That should add only about 8lbs of weight + about 15lbs for the kid seat. (23lbs is less than my cooler weight;):D)

I didn't want the rear to get heavy as the suspension works well the way its set up.

Looks Good B. What about a Skid plate ABOVE the baby seat ???? I feel those Alum tops just arent for sun protection. If a roll over occurs, the protection from brances, handle bars, Etc is priceless ! And I know a guy that can color match it to the car ;)

I might just hit you up. My cage is very similar to Brandins.

Let me know. Just bring beer and pay for the parts. It also doesn't hurt to donate stuff like Rhino seats for my golf cart project like Brandin did:D

BTW the seats worked perfect B.

Looks nice, well done.
We did the aluminum top with a twist, glued some 1/4" foam to both sides then glued sunbrella canvass to both sides. Came out nice, no rattles and I like the shade when riding.

Alright......

Time for some off season upgrades to the Teryx.

Cage is coming off this weekend and going out for new powdercoat after we modified it into the 3 seater.

Rear bed sides will need to be repainted as the paint didn't like to actually be attached while driven hard...lol

I will be installing a fan overide switch and a Dasa impeller to help keep the engine cool.

I am also going to install a tril tech vapor that will display RPM and engine coolant temp.

I struggled for a little while trying to figure out if I should do a stereo or a Rugged radio head set deal with intergrated ipod.

My wife really likes the stereo and the first couple trips on the Teryx she kept commenting that she missed the Rhino stereo. I felt weird about having my ears covered while riding as I felt it would prevent me from hearing whats going on around me....not to mention the rugged set up with ipod and car to car is pretty pricey.(only 1 other car we rifde with has car2car)

So that brings me to today......

A couple weeks ago I decided to start looking at parts to do a stereo. I am a fan of the SSV kits and I already have a custom painted sub console to match the teryx.

I was going to pick up a 3 channel JL amp and some front pods and then buy a sub to install in the box.

So saturday a local guy puts a for sale add on the teryx forums.......

Alpine IDA-X303 (custom glove box mount)
Alpine PDX5
4 Focal Co Ax
10" JL 10w1 V2

Front and rear SSV pods
SSV sub enclosure
All wiring
2nd factory battery with a isolator

b48a8a86.jpg

$500.....;):D

Needless to say I jumped on that shit ASAP as it is probably close to $2000 worth of product and might go down as one of the best deals I have ever scored.

I will be selling off the sub box so that should put the cost of the full system at roughly $375 (cost of the amp)

I will get into the install over the next coupe weeks after I remove the plastics.

Nice :thumbsup

Hopefully someday someone in the hood will do car to car so I have someone else to talk to :D

I just couldn't justify the $1300+ to hear you talk about how awesome DCB's are while were out riding...lol:skull:D

Your Teryx really turned out nice...you stole that stereo gear for sure.
I am almost finished with my stereo..I need another small amp and that SSV sub box. I may have to mod it a little because I moved my gas pedal over to where it dang near rubs on the tunnel..I suspect my foot won't fit on it with the box on there.
