Looking at riding from airport to 66 bar . I missed the group ride back in March. Can anyone provide me the directions. I know how to get to 40, just not sure where to cross and then the route to bar.
Thx

Head left and you will run right into it. On a serious note I do not think there is a clean way to get there without getting spoken to by a ranger 50/50.

All I know is you need to end up on the north side of the tracks at Polaris road and then take golden shores hwy into the bar about 5 miles on paved road ( must be street legal)

Cross at my dropped pin, head north to Polaris road (usual graded and really wide.) ride west until topock oatman hwy then head south to the bar. If you go further west then this point you are on refuge land and will receive a ticket. You must go around the refuge.

Another point to keep in mind this weekend is the topock desert tromp off-road poker run in the same area. There will be 100 plus vehicles (more than normal ) during this time on Saturday. Depending on your route you may be heading in the opposite direction of flow. Because it’s a poker run and not a race you and us are allowed to be there. I will be doing the poker run

Forgot about poker run tomorrow, maybe today then. So do you cross 40 near the pilot, find a wash and head to your pin marker to cross under railroad, and then follow rest of directions

watch yourself on Polaris rd, about half way you will crest a hill and find the back side washed out into a large ravine, real easy to get in trouble if you don't know it's there

In a nut shell yes lol, I cross the 40 using the bridge right at the pilot. It dumps you into the wash between the railroad track and the 40. I suggest hugging the track so you don’t miss the tunnel underneath. ( you may need to remove whips depending how high they are or if you have them) go under train tracks keeps heading north (do not head immediately west!!!!) as you head north to Polaris road (about 3 miles ) you can’t miss it, then head west until pavement. Make a left and follow road until at the the bar. Have fun! If you do get pulled over, play dumb and ask for a better way lol. I know this is out of the restricted zone, however each LEO enforced it differently. They definitely monitor the hwy so make sure you are Az street legal.

What are you traveling in?

Also the tunnel is pretty big, if your familiar with the 425 in Parker it almost as big as the one the crosses the highway to go near the water.

This is a fairly long ride so bring plenty of water. The wash along the 40 in pure sand for the most part, high speed lots of fun!

My favorite part is from the airport to the 40 that was a blast!

It was a great ride, we started from my buddies house on the south side. Slower riding for the first 10–15 Miles, once we hit the washes we picked up the speed. Much quicker ride on the way back as we took Mohave wash to standard wash to the 95, then took highway back. Pretty long ride, had a blast. No cell service, buddy had gps which was huge
