Hallett vector header question

For those that have or have had a vector, or built some and in the know
I have a hallett vector, boats in havasu, motors in Parker, I'm not in either
Trying to find out what headers will fit 502 ish, that will still fit under hatch cover.
Any pics would help too. :thumbup:

I can tell you that cmi's barely bit the stock hatch on a 210 and I think they have more room

What CMIs you runnin? I was considering the big tubes that socalzero has listed but pretty those aren't gonna fit, half considering losing the cover but unless I throw tt or blower in I think I'm just teasing myself to want more

I was thinkin possibly power flows, someone had for sale last week or so on here but they got snatched up quick I believe, also looking at lightnings low angle.

In my opinion CMI are the best and second are IMCO power flow. I personally would go with power flow if the motor makes under 700 naturally aspirated. On a blower I've seen them go 1,600.hp.

I would stay away from Lightning. My uncle had a set fail and good buy motor.

My old Vector had Imco.. Engine was mounted higher than yours ( mine was set up as a race boat w/ #3 and higher X dimension)

Imco were in this boat for 17 years, never an issue:

Anyone have experience with the KE thunder lightning headers? Price looks good, performance appear to be better than most. Same ones brummett used to or may still use? Could use now w current build and they can handle biiiig hp later if I don't learn my lesson w current build.

In general what is a good double walled header to run? Do they all leak eventually? Stellings, CMI etc... or best to stay away and run aluminum style manifold?

is it worth HP gain if any?
