EDIT: LOWERED PRICE
EDIT #2: (1) is sold so I have (1) left.

I have 2 black IMCO extension boxes brand new in the box (pictures below). We bought them for a project that we didn't end up using them on. They are the new style with the bottom corners angled to clear tunnels on cats. Comes with all the hardware.
Edit: Does not include the inner transom plate. Stock Mercruiser transom plates work.

$1500 each.

Neutral. I believe IMCO only makes neutral boxes.

How does the stock Merc plate compare to the Imco?

Longer drive shaft and steering arms that bolt onto the box for the cylinders. (I'll get you those cheap if you buy the box(s) from me)

Do either of you have full hydraulic steering? Need to know before I can give you pricing. Extension box boats require full hyd steering.

Just to be sure. I'm the cylinders on the outside can be full hydraulic or hydraulic assist which uses a cable inside.
I will check this weekend and get back to you, also sent you a pm.

I did this swap last summer. From a 496 with an xr drive. I bought a box, with arms and a drive shaft and inner plate. Then I had to go full hydraulic steering with the arms, hydraulic lines outside the boat and a bulk head fitting for each side of the box to run the lines into for a clean look to avoid having the lines go through the transom. There was plenty of space in the box to do the necessary plumbing and tees to make it work. The most expensive part will be going full hydraulic. I did a swivel helm, the hydraulic steering box and the custom length lines all from imco and an inline filter. He made the lines to my lengths so everything was fairly simple once I got the lines. This by far has been one of the best upgrades to my 25' daytona. You don't necessarily need the arms on the box, but it's one way to do it. The other way is to change the outside gimbal housing to an imco with the rams built into the side of the gimbal housing, but I think that complete gimbal housing is like $7-8k. It comes with the trim rams and steering rams.

Another great thing about a stand off box is you can get a wrench on the upper swivel shaft nut to change a gimbal ring if necessary. Don’t have to pull the motor or cut up the gimbal housing.

Brian, even though they are neutral boxes will the X Dimension be lower on a 27' Daytona because the drive is further back because of the angle of the transom?

It will a little. Even if it didn't drop it would make it act like it's 2" deeper

Unfortunately Brian passed away earlier this year. His son Dane does have one left though. You can reach him (D1 Performance) at 928-302-3173.

I know it's been awhile but do you still have one for sale?
I was at the shop yesterday and the extension boxes are not there, so I assume that he sold it before he passed.
