am new to jets and wondering how do I tell if the jacuzzi wj on my 18 has been modified without tearing it down

Modified how??

You can start by pulling the cleanout and looking inside. The stock impeller has 5 blades and a black plastic wear ring.

was told it was redone some years ago but don't know if it was done stock or had energizer kit done

Then it should have 4 blades on the impeller instead of 5. Does it still look Jacuzzi everywhere else? Haven't seen any energized WJs up close...

An energizer kit would have a Berkeley bowl on it too if I'm thinking right?
