I,m making jerky this weekend. I've been threatening to do it for awhile and the wife found a three pound eye of round in the chest freezer so its on. Found a recipe for hot online and gonna try it in the dehydrator. Any tips or hints? How about which way to slice the meat with or against the grain? With it is more chewy against they say it falls apart?[emoji243]

I have done it. Tips I found was cut meat while stile partially frozen. Easier to get nice strips. Cutting depends on what you like. Personally I go with the grain because I like to pull off strips compared to chunks. I put mine in a mix for 24 hrs then into the dehydrator.

You're making me want to bust out the dehydrator and make a batch myself[emoji106]

I have a meat slicer so I'm going to put it in the freezer for a little while then use the slicer so I should get some good slices[emoji106]

Sliced it up this morning and it's marinating right now. prob let it go about 10 or 12 hours then into thee dehydrator.[emoji243]
