The fab work looks incredible... What I see as a pitman arm might be steering swingers, but I don't get the splined holes?

Looks like the pitman arm for a single swing set up. One goes to the wheel the other goes to the passenger side swinger. proper way to do it on extended beams.

Build looks awesome btw.

Were the beams fabbed in house, or purchased from Solo?

They have the best 4X4 beams for the fords. When they made my set they made an extra set. They have all the laser cut pieces to make more also

Nothing is a off the shelf item on this truck

That's gonna be bitchen. Can't wait to see what you come up with. I've done a few k5 Blazers and since moving to Wa have had to get into something small.(jeep) those Broncos are badass rigs to get goin in the desert.

Ok, I've been holding off on the pics until we started getting to the good stuff. We started getting the front arms on this week and Richer told me we will be getting 20" in the front and 24" in the rear. The two things I am most looking forward to is the reared housing and the front shocks.

Looking awesome. Can't wait for more pics. Sorry if I missed it some where but are you changing the power or just leaving it for now?

I am re-powering after all the fabrication work is done. I plan on using it for a while then taking it back down and doing the repower

We are making some progress now. Shocks should be about a week or two. We decided to upgrade the steering. They are mocking that up now ImageUploadedByTapatalk1449443551.004324.jpg

In the next couple of weeks the front should be coming together. Hydraulic steering, radiator, spindle's, 3.5" internal bypass shocks, front glass, seats should all be installed and then they can finish the front.

Then we can start on the rear and this is what we are working on for the rear so far

How are you going to get the engine out of all that tubing when it is time to update it?

Everything is just Tacked in place. The tubes will be removable. We aren't welding up everything until we know the huge bypass shocks will fit. The 3.5 inch internal bypass coil over shocks are about 6" in diameter

What is the budget for this build? How do you get the engine in and out? What will the engine be?

The budget for this build is more than you would think. The products used thus far are top of the line and command that type of pricing. One set of front King coilover shocks cost more than my entire Toyota toy. :D

With the cost of parts used in this build, the increased price of quality steel and the labor rate a top quality shop would charge for this quality of a build, you would definitely be shocked.

In comparison, a top-quality suspension manufacturer built a one-off Blazer for a customer some time ago. The cost of THAT build was close to the cost of......say, a new in-ground custom pool with all of the goodies. :D And that was before the price of good U.S. steel went through the roof.

Just to give you an idea. Sorry to get off track DR!

He won't be putting a Chevy motor in a ford. [emoji6]

A small pushrod V8 is all that it could fit in there by the looks of it. We know what the pinnacle of those are..

Hell a a 5.3 out of a truck with bolt ons will make another hundred HP above the 351.

So, ballpark 75-100k when finished , or more. I have a 95 bronco, lifted 35's perfect body. remanufactured engine, etc, etc. I'm toying on selling for 10k or diving into a prerunner.

Pretty easy to get 425-450hp out of 351. Not to mention 500 ft lbs. A similar 5.3 would take a little more coin thrown at it. I like LS motors but a properly built 351 can still win out vs an LS or Modular platform. Unless boost is involved!!!!

A 5.3 LS and a Ford 351 are BOTH pushrod motors.

I think the comment about pushrod motors was meant to say you would not be able to get a newer style Ford overhead cam motor in there.

Ok, is it that hard to give a number because some people have 25k into their s or 60k into them. I'm just looking for a number to help decide whether to sell my bronco or build it.
