Always wanted one. Needs some work but what doesn't. Should be a fun project. 2012-11-04_13-42-28_307.jpg 2012-11-04_13-42-41_22.jpg 2012-11-04_15-27-25_596.jpg 2012-11-05_17-42-09_244.jpg

Looks awesome. A jeep is on my short list of toys to buy.

Got her running today after it sat for 7 years or so. No motor or trans issues so far. Needs some more tuning but at least the drive train is good.:champagne:

Real jeeps have leaf springs.

I have a 88, 157,000 miles, runs like a champ. I put a mechanical locker in the back and an electric locker in the front and it will climb a brick shithouse.

Real jeeps have leaf springs on top of the axles.

Fixed it for you... Had a sprung over YJ for years. Great memories in that Jeep. 4.56's and Detroit's.;)

I found some paperwork in the glove box sayin it has detroit locker and 4:56's in the rear. Not sure if they did the same to the front since the front driveline and axles aren't hooked up. Runs down the street alright though.:thumbsup

Cool jeep. BTW check into the front end before you hook it up. Someone may have changed the rear gears and not the front ones, they pull the front driveline so no one puts it in four wheel drive. If they do with differant ratios it would be no good.:cool

Mine was sprung over with 3/4 elliptical springs. It would literally go over, in or across anything and it rode like a dream. even with 38's :D also drove it from Pennsylvania to Arizona back in '99. :D

Well with the seats in the stock location I was looking straight at the top frame of the windshield, me being 6'5", so I had to lower them. Since I couldnt find any aftermarket mounts on the web I had to cut apert and reweld the seat brackets together. Came out pretty good. At least I can see throught the windshield now.

Did the Nutter Bypass on the jeep over the weekend. WOW what a difference. That smog shit really sucks the power down. It had a hard time idling before and the idle changed all the time. Once i bypassed the computer it ran perfect right out the gate. :champagne: Got a hole pile of vacuum lines left over now.
