Had to find the problem the old school way, so I built a timing marker for TDC. Timing read TDC on computer when in fact it was 10' after TDC. Now I can go back to the dyno and map the fuel curve and maybe pull some bigger numbers.
So before I got to the dyno a few months back I blew up reverse gear. Why I had the motor out I rebuilt the EFI linkage and realigned all the throttle shafts then set the throttle shafts all in the proper arc (alignment)
Now I have full throttle when wide open. Thursday going back to the dyno for mapping. If all goes well I'll be in Parker for New Years.
I've actually heard the opposite. These transaxles steal around 25% of the HP. At least thats what the guys that dyno'ed my old car said.
Cool FI setup! :thumbsup
I don't know about percentages lost but I do know at 6000 RPM the HP was still climbing, torque curve was leveling off. I could have pulled it to 7200 RPM but why ! 410 at the axles, 2800 lb car, 6000 RPM, pump gas all adds up to a nice family pre runner.
