I haven't been out there in years. Used to be an awesome place to ride dirt bikes.

Used to go there often, haven't been in a year or so.
If you go 6 or 7 miles down the dirt road, you can be in the middle of nowhere with plenty of places to shoot and light fireworks.

Lots of varying terrain, including a sandy half-pipe that I'd get 3 feet of air off of in my long travel Rhino.

One of my favorite places to camp and ride, I proposed to my wifey out there.

Take pictures and post up. I have heard a lot of stuff about that place but haven't been, I am always looking to try new places. The pix I have seen seem a bit dated, curious to see what its like out there and maybe plan a trip sometime.

The "secret" of Rasor Road is no longer, once we figured out that the "Rasor Road Cleanup" was nothing more than a cleanup of the massive Rave that's held out there the weekend before.

Want proof?
Here's the video, 7 years and counting...
Sure does explain the oddball shit that we found out there.

used to go to rasor rd. all the time back in the 80's and 90's. Last time I camped there (Trees) was in the year 2000. Loved that place. Rode many miles on my dirtbike out there over the years. Gotta go back there soon! Attached are some old photos I have from Rasor Rd.

If your a duner, best to just continue on a bit further to Dumont Dunes.

And while you're there, Pahrump is but a short drive away...for fireworks shopping

Looks like a cool place and it bums you out to hear that people are leaving trash and crap out there for others to pick up.

I want to know how it would be out there for an off road car. My car is big and heavy with a little 4 cylinder in it, I want to cruz around and have fun not ringing it's neck trying to get around the sand with no paddles. Is that possible out here?

^^^ you'll be fine. It's varied terrain, tons of flatland and sand washes.

If you camp off Rasor, take the washes and trails down to Afton Canyon. Great day ride.

You'll be fine, and will have lots of fun. There might be a few people here that know Rasor quite well, and would gladly take you on a tour...

Yea, just ask him.

The real answer is,

No, he does not.

Sorry bud, that's just what I was told a couple weeks ago. Maybe my guy was wrong about that, he had some pretty good info though, seemed legit, who knows...

I hear you, my buddy was playing him up like he was some sorta junior ranger master chief.[emoji1]

That is only one of his many titles.

Another title is:

"While drinking at the cabin I shoot my revolver in the air around young families guy, yelling "Let's get this party started!!"

I am forced to be around the guy because of another close friend of mine. It is an awesome time, everytime.

Sadly, I know him well.
