Well,, vendors are starting to bust out their wares and some of the stuff is fantastic.
Rear view mirrors with GPS and reverse/forward camera screens are the big interest of the minute.
Roofs with integrated lighting and sound systems.
One vendor touting his rear XP1000 / 900 storage box looked promising for about 3 miles.
The box was nice sized and had a spare tire mounted on it with gas shocks to assist with opening the lid (with the mounted spare attached).
"I've sold 500 of them already" went the tale.
Looked nice for about 15 minutes.
I shit you not, three miles on the trail and the whole works exploded taking out both rear quarter fenders and all plastic bodywork in between with major cracks, the spares coming detached and murdering the driver/passenger compartment, and the box flying out ripping out wiring, destroying both flag mounts and whips and bouncing across the whoops, just a fuck story deluxe.
Brutal.
I didn't take a pic,,, just felt bad for everyone.
So,, that's about one hour into the event 15 minutes into the first ride.
Some people sneaking in no reservation poaching without paying for their site is the latest drama.
Amazing many people forgot their helmets so I've loaned almost our entire closet full. Hope I get them all back.
I'll snap some pix today.
I'll be working the FREE raffle Saturday night and easily thousand of dollars of free stuff to be given away. Nice, quality items. Cages, sound systems, mirrors, electronics,, seats. Nice stuff if it makes it to the raffle. Read that: IF.
The single seat Polaris Ace is featured. Hot seller in some parts of the country, dieing on the showroom floor other areas like here in the West.
Damfino,, they are a bargain IMHO if ya like that kinda dealio.
