Boys will tab this thing together, then off to wetsand and buff.
We should be rigging on it late next week.

This will be summer stock. Tell your buddies, great time to get a 23 deck for summer.

Great color choice and scheme. Awesome price point. So refreshing to have a boat manufacturer recognizing a huge void in the market right now.

Look out west coast!

Very nice! What's the top speed with this power package? Can you put a 502 mag in it?

I like the boat with a 6.2 Mag 350HP / B1 24 4blade and she will do 70 and have storage.

The 502Mag HO lets you spin a 26 4B so 80s should be reasonable. I have a customer who had 1300hp and a jet and it did 110range. Big power 600plus outdrive packages reach 90s and on.

Its a very cool boat. Frank Place designed the original 22 bottom years ago with Thane and it has some really cool features. It was originally made for a Jet Pump.

I WOULD LOVE TO BUILD ONE with a MERCURY 350 VERADO. Someone step up. All digital 4stroke outboard - No cables - HUGE WARRANTY!!!!!!!! Thats on my chopping block.

Yes, we have been slammed getting customers boats out. This 23 deck is at the trailer shop getting fitted, then we will rig it.
It should be ready for water in 3 weeks time.

No- to make it outboard ready, just have to tab in some 45 shoulders and tie into the transom. simple stuff for a single outboard.

Jackplate
Motor
Verado is all digital rigging

Its a factor or time and money. Can we outboard ready in same time frame.

Thanks Todd. I think the O/B set up would be a sweet deal. The bimini could tuck under the hatch with some cutouts to the rear seatback bulkhead if someone wanted to do this. Like you say, all it takes is time and money of which I have lots of the former and absolutely none of the latter ;)

350 Verado coming.
Trailer is finished by Ikon HD.
Interior will be light silver with grey accents. Suttle and clean.

Thats a long story.

Boat is almost 100% rigged. Water test next week, waiting on some steering parts and we rock n roll.

Shockwave is dropping the ball on this outboard craze! With how popular their 22 deck mold is right now and outboards in general, they should of had one built a while ago. You guys seem to be killing it these days. Strong work!

Shockwave builds what the customer wants just like Tahiti does.

Exactly.:thumbsup

Someone asked me why all the Laveys built lately are blue.
My response was the same, because that's what people bought.

If people were serious about buying a Shockwave with an outboard, Bob would sell it and build it.:thumbsup

Nordic ran 88 with a 24sxob 300 2 stroke. I hear 103 on the same hull with a 400. I hope this one hits 80

I'll bet a 30 block it hits 80. Only 1 30, not a 30 for everyone who doubts. [emoji23]

quick rip with a 6.2mag ho / bravo 1 deal.

If you have not ridden in a placecraft - Tahiti Offshore 23 Deck or Shockwave 22 you need to do so. It is an amazing little boat.

You guys are doing pretty cool interiors. I like that they are current but not too wild. The days of plain white are over.

Thanks for the update. I like the idea of an outboard on this boat.

First test
60 gallons of fuel
2 fat dudes and me
26 4 blade prop
62mph with more in her, mid 70s will end up being top speed.

Lots of systems in boat, still not 100% need to get Vessel view configured right and power steering pump dialed in.
Will publish top speed once steering dialed.

Next year at this time, 50% of the 23 Decks we will be building will have 4 stroke outboard power. The boat likes it, runs great and carries the nose perfectly. Yah its not as cool as a 300XS or big block, but supercharger sounds cool too.

The quiet is amazing, you can hear the water splash in the tunnels while underway.

If I ever come into some money, this will be the long term family "truckster" boat with a 400. Really seems like a great all around package.

Nice, were you guys out there all weekend? I don't remember seeing you guys drive by, looks like the HS/Fishers/Martinez area?

Delivered the boat on memorial day around 3:30pm and ran it until 545 range and customer took her home. Amazing boat, that stretch of the river does not suck. Ran on the river only, didnt get to see martinez lake.

74 MPH WOT getting only 5800 RPM- should be able to get 6200 so still testing props. The mid range, turning, rough water all of it is far better then the Outdrive/ 6.2 which we mostly build.

I am very happy and impressed with the Placecraft bottom and the Verado power. 400R would be way rad next.

Nice, not missing anything by not seeing Martinez, it's called a lake but it's small :)

Speed sounds just about right, we see just at 70 at 6000 RPM but that's with coolers, chairs, bimini, stereo, generator, finished panels in the engine bay etc LOL. I think if our boat was lighter we would be more like mid 70s. 70 is fine, but I still wish I would have done the 400, it's never enough :)
