Happened on lap 10, Randy stayed in the boat, was unhurt but his shorts were full. Hyd set back bracket broke. Engine stayed attached to the boat by the steering,shift/throttle cables.

I will be taking out the boat to survey the fire damage you can see from the water. King of Beers was with me when we ran the north section of the lake. It was beautiful then, should be rather scorched this time around. Amazing how fast the land will heal...

As much as I like fixing things myself, I have to draw the line at pounding a skeg back "into shape". Its one of few things actually in the water at higher speeds so im not going to dick around here. Its going to get some proper attention.

The Carver ride got postponed to another day so F14 & I had to run our Mariah cabin cruiser. It's not an outboard but we love it anyhow. The windshield sure is nice when its 57°

I didn’t go out on the lake. We tried to get up there with a friend at PGE , but they shut down traffic to bare minimum. Seems the PG&E employees were being spit on and verbally threatened by people in the burn area. They had to fence their job sites! Consequently, the roads are now super hard to get in...
Can you even imagine taking your aggression out on some poor bastard that is just trying to get your utilities working? Yea, he started the fire...smh.

I'll say what I seem to say daily....people suck. These people are likely the same morons that vote for series of gazillion dollar gas taxes and then complain that gas is expensive.

I know several Outside Linesmen and they likely will not get a breather until the power is re-established up there.
