Great fun to hang out and see plenty of vendors and off road cars of all sizes/shapes/budgets.

If you want to run the Safari and support the club (we register but choose our own routes)

OFFICIAL REGISTRATION: Entitles participant to register one 4X4 vehicle and receive a dash plaque, bumper sticker, (1) one raffle ticket and a special present for the kids. ALL OCCUPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN AN INSURANCE WAIVER.

If you registered with the Military discount ?ACTIVE & RESERVE?, you will be required to show ID when picking up your registration packet.

Side-by-Sides are welcome !!!

HOURS:

FRIDAY: Safety Check and Registration are OPEN from 13:00 ? 22:00 Please go to the Safety Check FIRST and then to Registration both of which clearly marked and are located at TDS Safari HQ.

SATURDAY: Registration reopens at 6:30 AM. The run will leave from campsite, promptly at 8 AM for a trip in sandy washes, rocky canyons and scenic ridges of the best 4-Wheelin? in the area. Easier routes are marked ?green? to by-pass some of the harder/steeper trails.

CB Channel 14 is for ?Official Use Only? and Radio Checkpoints, please do not use this frequency for personal communication. (Please!)

SUNDAY: Check at the Information Booth and www.tdsdesertsafari.com for the Sunday run info.

RAFFLE: Raffle begins at 7 PM, Saturday March 1st. Bring your chairs and remember there will be over $100,000 in Raffle Prizes and more than 100 vendors onsite.

FIREWORKS SHOW AFTER THE RAFFLE SATURDAY NIGHT !!!!!!!
Please make sure you and your pets are prepared for the fireworks, they are extremely loud and there may be test firing during the day on Saturday.

MANDATORY SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: (if running in the Safari)

All vehicles must meet the following mandatory safety requirements in order to be registered. No refunds will be given if safety regulations are not met during safety inspection:

( 1 ) ROLL BAR OR METAL TOP
( 2 ) SEAT BELT FOR EACH OCCUPANT.
( 3 ) FUNCTIONAL EMERGENCY BRAKE OR MICO-LOCK.
( 4 ) MUFFLER(S) ? NO OPEN HEADERS.
( 5 ) FIRE EXTINGUISHER.

ADDITIONAL ?RECOMMENDED? SAFETY EQUIPMENT

( 1 ) FIRST AID KIT.
( 2 ) TOW ROPE, STRAP, CABLE OR CHAIN.
( 3 ) SERVICEABLE SPARE TIRE (within 2? Diameter of Vehicle Tires)
( 4 ) CB RADIO
( 5 ) WHIP ANTENNAS MUST BE REMOVED OR TIED DOWN (They are Hazardous to Bystanders in the Safari Terrain )

NO MOTORCYCLES ? NO DUNE BUGGIES ? NO ATVs/QUADS----- in the TDS event but you can ride all over the truckhaven hills in just about anything.

SUNDAY BREAKFAST: West Shores Seniors Club SUNDAY Breakfast March 2nd, 2014 located at 1375 Borrego Salton Sea Way S-22 (2.0 miles from TDS Safari HQ). Support the seniors?.serving from 7:00AM. Flyers will be available at the Registration and Information Booths.

CAMPSITE: Base Camp coordinates for registration: N 33 15.691 W 116 00.857. The headquarters and base camp is 23 miles East from Christmas Circle (Borrego Springs) on S-22 or 3.0 miles west of state highway 86. Distance to West Shores Senior Citizen hall is 2.0 miles.

This is an easy access dry wash area, near the famous TRUCKHAVEN HILLS with lots of room for campers, RV?s, and trailers. Bring your own nail-free firewood and drinking water. Additional supplies are available in Salton City.
