Hi,
I have gone through three solenoids in six months. Granted one was due to low battery voltage. This past weekend I was under way cruising ,all was good then it went out again. The terminals and all wires are free of corrosion. I even called Mercruiser to make sure I had the right part. I'm really stumped on this one and need some advice.
Thanks in advance

Are you talking about when you trim your drive up?

Yip ! That be the one.

I just had this happen on my boat. Everything in the boat was ran clean and in great shape. On the outside there was two wires going to the trim position sender and the two wires were stripped clean of the rubber. As I trimmed the drive up they would touch and short. Maybe you'll get lucky.
