  1. Ultra Boats is putting out some Killer Paddleboards

Rusty at Ultra has been inundated with paddle board customers as of late. While he is already pretty busy with the boat building / service side of the business he tells RDP that he is absolutely blown away by the response he has been getting from his Stand Up Paddleboards. He had three models he is currently building, and just bought molds for four new models that will be ready to go later next week.

The Current Models are what they call a 10-6 (10' 6")...
  2. This Weeks Featured Listing is SICK!! 1970 Longdeck Mandella!

As most of you guys know we put up featured boats for sale once a week. I charge 100.00 to put them on the front page, and the lounge, and on FB.

Typically I will just go and take the pics, list the stats, the stats, the price, and the contact info.. I don't ever ever vouch for a boat, or say It's clean, or anything like that.

Well, I'll vouch for this boat. The boat is a solid 10 out of 10, and I guarantee you can run over it with a fine tooth comb all you like, and you won't find a...
  3. This Weeks Featured Boats for sale!

For those that missed it the first time, RDP has instituted a new program where dealers (or private parties alike) can pay 100.00 to have their boats featured on RDP for sale! What that means is we will place the boats on the front page, post a thread on the boats in the lounge, and post a link to the article on RDP's Face Book.

This weeks boats are a Hallett 300, and a brand new Sangar 237.

The Hallett 300 is offered by Offshore Custom Marine (OCM)...

  5. Ron's Fiberglass Repair getting some High Profile Jobs!

I'd like to welcome one of our newest advertisers Ron's In your ear Audio and Fiberglass repair. Ron sold his popular detail business (Rons Custom Detail) and decided to focus primarily on his Audio business, and expand into gel coat repair. It is a little known fact but Ron had been doing gel coat repairs on the side during his detail years for the better part of a decade.

The first task was to secure a building that had enough room to work on multiple large boats comfortably inside. The...
  6. Count Down to the 336 Parker Enduro! 10 Month Update!!

First let me say I am impressed by how many people are already exited about the 2015 Parker Enduro! I vowed to put up updates monthly as we get closer, and wasn't sure how many people were reading them. My phone blew up from a few different racers wondering where this update was on the 23rd.. I had to explain that I was travelling for the Holidays, and I didn't think anybody would really be paying attention until after the new year anyways.. Boy was I wrong!

    So here's your 10 month...
  7. Teague's Take: The Family Business

In this Industry, a family that plays (and works) together, stays together.

When the Santa Clarita Valley Business Journal recognized Teague Custom Marine as one the top 15 largest family-owned businesses in the Santa Clarita Valley, it helped put into perspective what we've accomplished over the past 40-plus years. It makes me proud to look back on the road Teague Custom Marine has taken and to where it's headed thanks to both my immediate and extended families....
  8. Two Weeks from Tuesday / Newsday

Well if I was really trying to be accurate, I would've titled the article two months from Tuesday instead of two weeks. The two weeks joke still plays though, so I figured I'd start my triumphant return to writing articles with a little humor. So previous to the Stoker retiring article, that Nordic outboard article had been up for quite awhile. Point in fact it had been up so long, that I got an e-mail from Speed on the Water asking if I was ok, and an e-mail from a competitor asking what...
  9. End of an Era - John's Custom Marine / Stoker Boats to Retire

    A Statement from John's Custom Marine :

TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS AND BOATING FRIENDS.

After more than 45 years, John's Custom Marine will be closing at the end of this year, not out of necessity, but because change is an inevitable part of everyone's life. John is ready to retire and Al is relocating to another state, both anxious to start a well-earned new chapter. At this time, a new business owner has not...
  10. How Strong is the Market for DCB's? Horizon Motorsports IS ALL IN

View attachment 598192 Recently I was talking to Paul Miller of Dave's Custom Boats and he mentioned to me that Preston of Horizon Motorsports in Lake Havasu was building a new boat for stock. Now that doesn't sound like a big deal, a boat dealer building a boat for stock, but when he said it I was floored and I will explain why. Since DCB's...
  11. Updating and Upgrading Interiors with DCB

You guys might remember a short article I wrote up a few years back about a West Coast Allstar leaving us and going to the East Coast. Carlos Lafarga pretty much redefined West Coast Interiors when he worked for DCB. After opening his own shop "Premier Marine Interiors" and running it for a year or two in Lake Elsinore, another player in the marine Industry Cigarette decided to capitalize on his skills. Carlos moved to Florida and brought the west coast "flair" to the Iconic brand,...
  12. Topock 66 - Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting!

While Topock 66 has been operating for over 12 months it has been continually a "work in progress." It would seem every time I go up there, there is some new feature or another portion of the operation had been completed. It has actually turned into an exciting little trip for my family to see what's going to be new when we go up there each time. Well this trip we saw that they had built and nearly completed the swim up bar and new main stage overlooking the pool! After 12...
  13. DCB Finishes sixth M-29!!

  14. THE WORLD FAMOUS SUNDANCE - OPEN!!

  15. Newsday Tuesday / Sponsor Appreciation Day! Summer Kick Off

What's New - Well as you guys might have been noticing we have been putting quite a bit of focus into new Articles and Front page content as of late. We still have quite a few write ups to go on general overviews of boats and manufacturers that we have seen at various shows, or have even just recently taken out and testing. Our next write up will be on Interceptor boats at the LA Show, and briefly on their Deck they brought to Havasu, and that will be followed up...
