I know a lot of you have been sitting on pins and needles waiting for an update. I have received quite a few phone calls from racers, fans, and businesses regarding this years race, and I have been overwhelmed by the amount of support to put it on! That being said, this has been a long road to hoe as it were behind the scenes. We are lucky enough to have the infamous Scott Schatz of S&S step up to be our "Race Director!"

The race is moving forward exactly as planned on October 25th & 26th at the Bluewater Resort and Casino. Scott will be handling all the "nuts and bolts" of the race itself, and I will be handling the promotion and fund raising side of things. Scott is no stranger to putting on races, and I have complete confidence in his abilities to make this event come off as something that both racers and fans alike will be proud to have attended!

In the meantime, the "Division" rules for boats will be similar to that of last years, so the racers themselves need not worry about having to make drastic changes to their setups from before. The final rules are under review as you read this and will be posted shortly. The most drastic change to the race itself is it will in fact be a TWO DAY event with qualifying to be on Friday. Scott is in process of working out all the details with that right now.

Due to past problems with room blocks, the Bluewater Resort and Casino will not be doing any block reservations for any events in 2013. The rooms will be on a first come, first serve basis, so if you are planning on staying there please get your reservations ASAP!
