This weekend offered a little change of pace to the usual boating, floating, and hanging I usually find myself partaking in. A month or so I was approached by former World Champion Jet Ski racer, Chris "The Fish" Fischetti about shooting some pics of an event he was putting on. Having always been a stand up ski fan, I agreed, and this past Saturday found my way down to Rotary Beach near the Channel to check out the action of the Aqua Moto Grand Prix. And action there was! More than 80 racers of all disciplines and skill levels showed up to support the sport and take part in a fun day of racing. With a format centered around fun and a challenging course that even offered a couple ramps to fly off of, the Aqua Moto GP had everyone on the beach having a great time! In addition to having fun shooting pics I also found some time to enjoy hanging with some friends. Friday night I got together with Shintooo and his bride to enjoy some cocktails at the Heat then went for the typical bar tour of Havasu which ended with a display by a Havasu local of how drugs effect the body (see video).

Saturday after we got a chance to go check out a new American Offshore deckboat with Ricky and Kelli from Maxedout Marine and take a little cruise to 3 Dunes for some relaxation.
We ended our Saturday with some dinner at Shogun and a couple cocktails...
Of course on Sunday who could resist splashing the boat in Parker and spending the day on the river!? Yeah me either! Another great RDP weekend in the books. Looking forward to seeing what this weekend has in store! See you on the water!
