He has been one busy mofo lately, I will have Cindy message his wife on FB and tell him to get his ass back on here. The guy is one of those people that only works when he is awake, getting him to slow down for 5 minutes is a challenge.
Frankly I was surprised when he showed up, he is usually going balls out and seeing take him time fer the internet is unusual, to say the least.

Richard is out of the business...there ain't no good machine shops up here anymore and it sucks.
Jerry Eason from Reibes quit after 32 years...he is opening a small place at his home, that is what everyone is going to do. Jerry is a good guy and ain't gonna screw anyone.

Trust me bro the doors are locked and Donnie hasn't been there in a couple years...I talked to him about the engine for the jet and he was working in Sacramento...
A couple weeks ago I heard he was at Riebes...

We'll talk...

Flame it, traditional look, yellow and orange like the boat, about half of the scoop, the rest will leave polished...it is a simple 2x4 Dooley aluminum scoop, about 5 inches tall, 18 long.
Was thinking of the toothed P-40 "Flying Tiger" look, but want to stick with tradition...
Don't want to eat up all your time out here with my stuff, Ron. It ain't a priority...

Not to toot this guy's horn again, but he is amazing. I used to take great joy in just sitting in a lounge chair sipping a Cold Coors Light and watching the smoke come out of his ears as he dreams stuff up, taped it off and sprayed it. There were a handful of us that ran around together, (Ron was one of the guys from the Mustang days, see front page of RDP for further) and we all knew he had the gift.
This is one of those guys that started painting about the time he got old enough to terrorize Anaheim on a mini-bike..Drawing cartoons, etc...the stuff he used to do when he was just bored would make most talentless focks like me even feel even more incompetent.
This project won't disappoint. Stay tuned.
Ron, keep after it brother.
By the way, we found a 455 for Chris's boat. He hurt the old one purty bad. And, lo and behold, the block had a crack in it about, oh, 9 inches long. No wonder the bilge didn't leak when filled with a garden hose, but when the engine was running...:D
He has my cherry picker and we are going to do the swap when it warms up a bit more...he is a little busy stressing about the wedding right now...
and go to the front page of this website and read the story.."old hot rod and lightning strike" there are some pics there of the Mustang then and now...and Jim called me about and hour ago...he found a 440:D

Wow! Do you have a plotter/vinyl cutter to make all that filagre ? Not to try and compare yo to someone, but it reminds me of Baca back in the day also. Patterns, in patterns, in patterns, you could look at it for days. Cant wait to see the finished deal.
Did I hear someone say they're lookin for a Mopar?

Yes I have a Roland GX-24 plotter...draw it first, pull it up in CS2 illustrator then cut

If I can pick your brain a little, what do you use for frisket paper. My daughter has a cricket and I was going to mess with it a little for some small stuff I have and cant seem to find paper for airbrushing.
