I like this one. Im 5'11 240 lbs right now. not sure if I should go with a 69'' or a 71'':hmm

http://www.hosports.com/product-detail.php?id=waterskis-tx

Any suggestions on length? What bindings should I go with ?[/QUOT

Here's a HO chart : Looks like your close to either one . If I keep gaining weight I'll need the 71" . Your welcome to try my 69" next time we're in Havi !!!

http://www.hosports.com/pdf/ski_boot_chart.pdf

That would be great. [emoji106]🏻 probably going to go with a 69"

I have never seen you ski, so not sure what you are looking to do. The larger ski will be easier to get up on. You sure you don't want a Maha, they are fun, versitile skis.

Cruise & Slalom ski occasionally. Mahas are almost impossible to find .

Always skied on Murdoch's , one all wood 66" , one wood 65" with the blue laminated plastic top and loved my Dad's friends Murdoch racing ski . That racing ski was so nice could ski from Windsor to Havasu springs non stop have lunch and ski back , mostly because Dad's boat had 4 seats and there was usually 5 of us . Got out of boating for some years and now I'm back and wanted to ski again . Now that I gained a few pounds ( pushing 200lbs ) I bought a 69" HO Freeride used it a few times even though I can't go very far anymore ( old and out of shape ) it was easy to get up on and way fun . Now for those new style lace up boots :yikes . I need to learn a trick or two on how to get in those things , it wore me out just getting the ski on !!!! Looking for an old Murdoch racing ski , Maha GS or 360 maybe all if I can find them for a decent price .

Use shaving cream for boot entry. The cream, not the gel. Helps get your feet in, kills a bit of the stink, and it disipates quickly.

Alright Ski guys,

This is a ski I bought in 84. Just pulled it out of storage. Case is a little old but ski is mint.

Should I order a new Maherajah or is this thing ok for an old dude?

I just started skiing again, and would like a fun ski for long rides. Not just trying to ski a course. From what I gather the 360 is just about perfect for this. I'm 6'4 230lbs. Would a glass 70" 360 be a good option for me? And if so, where can I get one [emoji6]

If you know how to ski, and are in reasonable shape, that ski will work well. Maha excel when going further and having fun are more important than trying to drag a shoulder.

Go ski it!

I did twenty years ago.

JBS and I are gonna bet on who blows out a knee, or snaps a ski rope first.

My 360 is at Bigs. You're more than welcome to use it. It has adult sized bindings. Lol.

Get a new rope and bend your knees and rope will be fine. Have fun.

Had to knock the dust off a couple of these. I'd like to put a different front boot on the 360, any suggestions?

Which HO is that? Do you like it?

The white one is a Rival. It's a fun ski, easy to get up on a turns "ok". My wife skis on it mostly. You can find them on Ebay pretty cheap, I don't think they have made this model in a few years.

Just wrapped this old longboard and put on new bindings. Went flat black with safety orange tip with ghost " Maha Racing " circles and grey font with an orange pin. Looks better than the old graphics, bindings are way more comfy than the originals.

Nice. The original bindings are well made, but fit and feel horrible.

I picked this up today. It is in "ok" shape. I could probably ski it for a bit and it would be fine. It does have the beginning of a split on the tip and slight split on the tail. It looks as if it was used well then neglected.

Any thoughts on restoring or don't bother?

I restored one once, I would say don't bother. It's actually very difficult to do it correctly. Bob at maharaja actually advised against it because he says at the time they start splitting they become unsafe to use.
