I don't really have one planned for us.. After Eric gets done with this my whole program is going to California for the stereo / powder coating and wiring over at wired for sound.. That should take about two to three weeks I'm guessing?

Not "two weeks"?

Looks great! So how do these things (when stock) compare to a stock RZR 800S, in terms of power, speed, handling and suspension? I am looking to get rid of one of my 800S's and need something that can do a bit of work around my property, but still be sporty enough to trail ride. Wondering if these Ranger 900s will fit the bill?

Edit: Oops. I guess I am kind of threadjacking here. My apologies. I'll start a new thread.

If money were no object it would be bad ass to throw a 1000 in there or a turbo 1000...why...because why not!

For right now I'm going to leave it stock.. However these things are easy to upgrade the HP on as I have been finding out. And if you want ridiculous power, they share the exact same case that the 900 XP's (and I think the 1000's?) have. Mark Queen builds 150+ HP 900's right here in Havasu that will drop right in.

The bumper turned out really nice. Skid plate makes the front end look good as well.

Ok here are some quick updates.. Tommygun has the real deal photos, but here is a couple I shot with my phone.

These are not the wheels that we are using.. These are the upgraded stock ones that were on it.

These lights are most likely coming off tomorrow and getting replaced with larger ones.

This is the new floor jack for the ranger. Eric says you have to remove the rollers and put them in skids for use in the dirt. He came up with a pretty clever deal that you will see here in the following pics

Still have a little ways to go, but it's getting closer! I can't tell you how pleased I am with how it is turning out. Eric has waaaayyyyy exceeded any expectations I had. It's mind boggling some of the little trick stuff he comes up with on the fly.

Whats the purpose of going to all the trouble to build that jack into the rear?

Is that just to change tires? What about the front?

Is it too get out of being stuck?

Its very trick - I just don't get what its for if you only have it on the back? Is it just for putting on paddles for the dunes?

Or is it just a place to store it?

That mount in the back is just that, a mount.

Once you pull the pin it's just a regular Jack and you can use it anywhere [emoji106]

Latest round of updates! These pics were taken yesterday, and I should be picking it up today to take it to Wired For Sound tomorrow AM!

The Jack handle is mounted on the underside of the roof rack. It has a quick pin that you can pull to remove it. The tear drop shapes are to make it easier to take in and take out. (I wouldn't have thought of that, but it really does work)

_MG_8227.jpg

The smaller side lights were moved to the back and vertical bars were added. If you look closely under the center light in the pics you can see all the custom "T Handles" that Eric made for the clevis bolts that clamp the barn doors together.

_MG_8239.jpg

IMG_8242.jpg

Spare tire mounts are finish welded on the barn doors.
_MG_8220.jpg

We didn't get a picture of it, but Eric filled the gap between the main front light and the vertical supports. Then he decided to kind of finish the look off with these bitchen sheet metal top and bottom plates.

_MG_8215.jpg

_MG_8216.jpg

As you can see the Aluminum Roof is installed and fitted.. (It's a tight fit front to back, and has to be assembeld and taken apart a certain way)

_MG_8231.jpg

Eric showing that the roof will have no problems with people standing up there, setting lawn chairs up there, or using it as a photo platform for Tom at Offroad Races etc.. You can also see in this picture the larger side lights are installed. (Front light is out in this pic because he is working on the top / bottom plates)

_MG_8236.jpg

And Eric said no RiverDave offroad vehicle would be complete without a bottle opener.. LOL

Well with any luck I will be seeing it for the first time around midnight tonight. Lol. They were unable to get the stereo done and wiring, but overall look should be pretty much done.

They are waiting on tires right now and if they can get the mounted in the next couple hours then my buddy is going to trailer it out here for me. If they can't then it will stay where it's at.

Any updates on this Dave?

The crew was at Desert storm.. The lights weren't functioning and they didn't have time to wire them. I sent it back to wired for sound and they are supposed to get started on it here pretty quick. I will call Adam today and see what the timeline is looking like.

No wicked carts had the golf cart for two years.. Wired for sound redid most of it and got it up in running in about three weeks.. Ironically enough I just pumped some money into that thing about a month ago with the new updated air block new pressure gauges and lines, pressure switch etc..
