I've tried every vendor on this page. Not one has contacted me back. Any ideas? Is the boat not insurable?

2001 25' Daytona. 800 hp.

I tried Andy but he couldn't write me cause of my jacked up record. I ended up going with Brad Stern

Here is how my insurance conversations go...

Agent - "yes we can insure you. What make and model boat?"

Me - "That's great news! It's a 21' Daytona."

Agent - "okay great, how much horsepower?"

Me - "approximately 1,100 ma'am"

Agent - (phone goes quiet)

Me - "Hello, anybody there Hello...hello...hello."

To be clear.. You are saying you called Eric Lopez, Brad Stern, and Andy Holthe and not one of them called you back? (If that's true, I'll be calling all three of them today.. but I'm having a hard time believing that?)

All three of the agents on here can insure that no problem.

Ya, I'm going to call them.

On tapatalk you can't see the banners/sponsors and I always forget there's a whole different view of the boards when on a desktop.

Geico won't insure that boat. They are a no go at over 55 MPH.

I think we talked about this on another thread recently......

Hope that's true now. Back in the day we had State Farm and they wrote our insurance no problem. 2 months later we got a cancellation notice once it got to the "right" department. Hopefully things have changed.

Everything I can find on geico states boats up to 55mph like joe stated.

I would review the application and make sure it states that the boat has 600hp and runs 85 mph.

I would also call and sleek to a rep and verify that your 85 mph boat is insured correctly and covered.

85% of insurance agents don't know dick about boats and are looking for a sale that may or may not be covered when you actually need them.

This.

Few years back Deb was all proud about getting the Miller covered.
600 HP, OTH, 80 MPH.

I knew damn well that it wasn't covered and a 10 minute conversation with a supervisor confirmed this.
Didn't stop them from collecting a month of premiums for it.

Might want to double check that policy dirtbag. In the event of an actual accident you aren't covered.

They may not be a sponsor here (or maybe they are?????) - But Wozencraft insurance will get you done today. Call Tanah or Devin over there at (714) 263-2626. I've been with them for 7 years. They sponsor DS card stops, Devin is a boater himself, and they always give me a cold beer at the boat show and DS street fair :thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Give Andy a call and I can guarantee if he doesn't answer you'll get a call back within 10-15 (unless he's on PTO lol)

I've seen this posted here before, but can't find any reference to it anywhere in my policy. Just went through all 15 pages of it, and nowhere does it specify an exclusion for speed capability. Front page clearly shows make model and horsepower...

The image posted referencing the MPH limit, is from a 3rd party company that sells GEICO insurance. The 55MPH isn't mentioned anywhere on the GEICO marine site at all. [emoji848]

I will say it once and not say it again. Insurance is NOT one of those things you want to pinch penny's on. You get what you pay for!!!

I will gladly pay more $$$$ for a policy that is written correctly by someone with years of marine experience, then some headset jocky in a call center at GEICO............

No bad blood kinda deal I think.... one time I asked how come they don't have anymore advertisements on RDP and was told it was do to a business decision that they didn't make. I left it at that lol
