Speaking of fans. What kind of fans do you guys have under the bow? Thinking of ordering a couple!

Caframo Camano. No variable speed, just on and off. *edit x2. it looks like these may be discontinued.

Teak floors and this much detail to a closed bow cabin is just a gateway drug to the full/express cruiser at some point (ie. bathroom and full AC!) Looks really good!

They usually put it under the center cushion up in the bow area. This boat doesn’t have one, nor will it. Lol

If we are gonna do that we are gonna get a big boat.

I have a Hella 2 speed fan. They come in black and white. They are open in back and work pretty well.

I'd like to find something out of the ordinary if I'm going to do the fan deal.. Honestly with the hatch up last summer it really didn't get that hot in there? We'll try it out though, and if it is, then fans are easy to add.

Hey Dave, are you going to leave the ice box top open, I didn't see a lid in any of the pics posted?

No, that will end up being a “cutting board.” (Limes and sandwiches etc) So I’m going to order a butcher block cutting board with contrasting colors and put it there with a hinge.

How about a SPAL mounted in the hatch opening? It would be very easy to hinge it or make it removable.

...or do the mount to set into the hatch opening so it can be flipped for push or pull

automotive radiator fan....

seems a little dangerous for little kids fingers/hair unless it had a pretty serious cover...They do move a ton of air though.

Oh.. lol. I thought we were talking about the cooler lid still.

Someone makes an actual hatch fan unit that will fit right in there. I have seen it before. I think they even make a swamp cooler version?

I will start messing with that after I cleaning up some of the rest of the boat.

Some drunk guy will get both hands cut off... but it will be cool down there :)

Just two weeks ago I had DCB install some fans under my deck while the boat was there for the kiddos. Not sure what they used but they did a great job. All concealed. Just have two directional vents coming out of one of the bulkheads and a trick little flush lighted pushbutton next to them. And they move a lot of air! You could call Eric over there to see if they will send you the parts.

Probably computer fans or something similar? I will ask them for sure!

They move a shitload more air then any computer fan i have ever seen. I kinda thought they would have used maybe a bilge blower? But after picking the boat up they are nearly silent except for sound of all the air coming out of the vent. Eric @ DCB is who I worked with to schedule they work.

You'd fab a guard for it, definitely. It wouldn't be a plug and play application, but it would get a crap ton of air circulating.
