Looking to acquire something. Looking at the Chevy Cruze. Looks like good MPG. My crew cab duramax dually is a little much. Just putting on senseless mileage. I commute about 70 miles a day.

Prius. Windows are dark. Dgaf. My commute is long..

I'm far from a libby, I hate the stereotype, and stigma, but It's actually a hell of a car. Does everything well but look cool. Very happy with it.

Not trying to save the earth and shit. It's just reliable and comfortable as fuck

My aunt just bought a new Civic. The lease was up on her Acura. So far she said she loves it. Personally, I love the styling of them as well. And we all know the Honda reliability and resale.

I bought a new 2018 Hyundai Elantra for $15,900 out the door with tax and license. Tons of rebates. Get's anywhere from 30-high 30's MPG. Backup camera and side mirror detection is all I wanted. Nice to get to Havasu and back for $40-50 vs $150 in my diesel. I'll drive this into the ground, I don't really care. I didn't want to pay $7k more for a Prius to get 15 more MPG.

Daily commuter... 2003 Honda Accord. Driving my 2500HD gasser as my daily driver sucks gasoline like nobody's business.

2008 Ford Fusion V6 25mpg Apple Valley to Colton 140 miles per day.
Has 197,000 miles. Engine and trans still run like new.
No major repairs at all. Still has original spark plugs and SERP belt.
(Getting that done in a few weeks out of guilt lol)

I’m willing to bet I get 300k out of it.

Not actually driving one now, but I'd consider a Civic or Corolla, Civic seems a little nicer.

2004 Infiniti FX35. 6-cyl with 290 HP, so it's fun to drive. 20-22 mpg on a 70 mile round-trip commute M-F.

When I bought the Infiniti in Aug last year to use as a commuter, I was looking at Toyota trucks...but even used, they were too pricey.

At work I drive the Ford Fusion's and Prius'. The Fusions are comfortable, the Prius'...not so much.

I lease a Camry every three years, nothing down, 299 a month and I drive the shit out of it. Usually I have about 100,000 miles at the end of the lease, I buy it from the lease company and then sell it and usually lose about $2500. To me it’s worth it with all of the fuel from good gas mileage I saved and illiminating all of the mileage from our more expensive vehicles

2017 Toyota Yaris iA (actually a Mazda 2 sedan). Just over $16k out the door. Handles great, stereo is good, gets 33 MPG city, 38-42 highway depending on how fast I drive it.

you guys seen the new motor caddy is putting the finishing touches on for the new v cars? Pretty impressive!

That is going to go in the CT6 V sport, not the V CTS or ATS from what I read.

A 4x4 Dodge Ram 3500

I just can’t get into the idea of an econo car, I’ve seen what happens to them sometimes. ;)
I’ll pay extra.

worth its weight in gold. Company vehicle and gas card is where its at.
Not if you get paid mileage, and have a cheap to operate car.

No thanks. I spend too much time in vehicle to go cheap, so I'll stick with company truck deal: No payment, no fuel, no registration, no maintenance, no wear and tear, no worries. It would take awful lot of paid mileage to equal up.

2008 Toyota Yaris with 216K miles. I figured this car would die years ago and I would get something nicer but it just keeps going, and going, and going. All I have ever done to it is change the oil every 5k Miles. I’m sold on Toyota vehicles for commuting. I’m guessing this car will easily click 300k before it’s put to rest.

Fusion Energi. I call it my “NetZero” car. I was driving a 2015 lifted Rubicon 45 miles each way at a cost of around $18 a day. Bought the 2 year old Fusion for 16k and spend $3-4 a day.
So the $300 month payment equals out in fuel savings plus kept miles off the Jeep.

Agreed. I made about $30k profit after paying for the car on my last commuter. Owned and drove it for 11 years, sold it for the exact amount I put down on it. I average about $600/month these days of tax free income from mileage after fuel, maintenance, and insurance are paid. So in my situation, I don’t want a company car and a gas card.

I've got a 1997 Explorer 4 door sport with close to 250000 miles. Come to think of it, it's not just my daily driver it's also my Sunday go to meeting car, my touring car and my tow rig. It gets about 18 mpg around town and if I obey most of the speed laws it can get 20 on the road. It's been about as dependable as an army boot but the ride quality could be better.
