We want to get my girls, 4 & 5, a go kart for Christmas. Around Christmas, we will be moving to our new house, which is on close to 6 acres, and we want to get them something to cruise around on. I don’t need to buy them something like a rzr 170, as I don’t even have a SxS yet, but I don’t want “power wheels” type junk. Does any one have any recommendations? I was thinking something like this.

Plenty of good kits out there. Look at BMI sports. Easy and fun to build with them. Better than the avg chinese deal.

The razor krazy kart is a bunch of fun for them but is paved surfaces only. No off road or dirt.

I use to have a Honda Odyssey 250 when I was younger. Fun little car.
I looked at buying one of those used too but I like the option of having both my boys ride together. Those odyssey's were a freakin' BLAST!!!

To be honest with you, a used RZ 170 is your best bet. The Rzr 170 has a parent adjustable speed limiter, is pretty much bullet proof and you will be able to sell it for almost what you paid for it years later. Your girls will also really enjoy being able to ride together. IMHO it's cheaper and easier than buying Chinese junk.

I have a China go cart and we have constantly had to adjust or modify things to keep it going. Get the RZR. Turn the key and go.

That’s what I was afraid of.
I don’t feel they’re ready for a 170 and it isn’t in the budget anyway. We’re finishing our dream home and let’s just say that the overage on her tile budget was a large part of my rzr funds

X2 for the RZR170. We have one. When we go to the desert that little 170 never stops running from after breakfast to bed time. And it just keeps on running. I was not happy with the price but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. The 170 is worth it.
