Shhhh....its a Secret
What do I win Alex?
In all seriousness, congrats on the great looking boat and I think you made the right choice with the 860's. I'm looking forward to seeing this build cronicled here on RDP.
the big girl is all you LarryApparently, these days as I finish up a boat over there I no longer have to ask Jake what’s next.
I can just look on RDP.
Look forward to hearing how the 860s do. Why #8s instead of #6s? Customer already had them?
I’m a fan of your method of thought.Theory is "Why not overbuild the weakest link"....

Huh. A little bit, hadn’t noticed before but yeah.I love it! It reminds me of a new twist on the martini racing livery.

There’s a whole sleeve of 2” just to cover the perimeter flanges.I want to see his write-off for tape.
Masking paperThat's just the deck! Imagine the tape needed on the hull of that monster.

Most of it’s coming off on that side tomorrow. There’s a wonk in the lines and that arch will all be removed and replaced.
It’s a good 3/4 inch out in one place.
A bit of tuning needed before fill.
I bet @retaocleg is cringing at all the labor in double masking vs zipping 1/2” fine line
Had I started investing in 3M the same time I started in gelcoating...some other guy would be doing your boat todayOOHHHHHhhhh ... Happy / Sad....
Im lovin the attention to detail but bummed all that work turns out to just be practice... On the other hand, I did have my Broker look into 3M tape products, he putting together market analysis
Pretty much that.I'm also guessing that you put down one side, take measurements, then repeat on the opposite?
Bottom is in the booth and will be sprayed sunday night and ready for a Monday layup
