Need a lift for our new truck - 2020 GMC 2500HD. It's been 11 years since we last lifted a truck, so things have probably changed a bit. Hoping the RDP Braintrust has some wisdom to share.

Looking to put 35s, 6" lift, and really don't want a lift that requires cutting, etc that will void the warranty.

ProComp, McGaughy's, BDS, Cognito, CST? What's the best option these days?

Move along if your answer has anything to do with "don't lift it" or similar...

Being that it’s the 2020 don’t believe there is much if anything as far as lift goes for it. I know there are a few things in the works just not in production as far as I know.

Go 37's with a 6 inch.

Cognito or BDS. Have to look, but I bet any 6 inch plus will require cutting.

Congrats on the new truck looking forward to progress picks and if you could share some interior pics that would be great. Perfect color by the way nice and clean!

Thank you!
Interior pics [emoji1303] It's SO much bigger inside than our other GMC - wider and a lot more room in the back too. The rear air is a nice addition too... storage everywhere: built-ins under the back seat, in the seat backs, etc. I don't keep much in the truck, but it's nice to have the options.

Nice truck!

6" lift? Goddamn. That's pretty damn tall on a 2500.

35" will be too small with a 6".

Level it with 35".

EDIT: I just read your "move along" part of your post. Please don't send me on vacation with @GRADS .

There was an inmate here who worked at cognito. I don’t recall his name though.

From my reading torsion keys & 35’s are where it’s at.

Call cognitio or Cal super trucks in SB and see if they want to use your truck to beta test a lift. My 01 was the first on 38’s with Cal super trucks back in the day.

I’d put it on 35’s and call it done.

CST. You won’t have any problems. Have their shop install it. Best in the business.

I like it!

Don’t cheap out in shocks. They’re what’s going to make or break your ride quality.

2.5” minimum, 3” even better.
Fox or King’s.
Don’t go for house-name crap, it’s overpriced junk.

Stay away from Fabjunk unless you want to rattle your fillings loose.

Also keep proper air pressure in tires to optimize ride quality. No need to max out psi

So nice to see the analog Speedo and tach I don't like the all digital dashes I still like a little of the old-school look!

You should define proper air pressure...

And where to get the handheld to change the factory programing.

;)

We are happy with the deal we worked, for sure (not many (ANY) deals to be had on a truck that spent only a few hours on the lot), but rest assured I worked some magic... We keep our trucks for a long time, so it was worth the ouchy price...

Have you washed it yet?

On a side note, where/how does the dog ride? Harness? Crate? Bed of the truck lol?

Hehe Princess Kaiya now has more room in the back seat than she's ever had before! She's pretty stoked [emoji16]

If i had it to do over again I would spend a bit more and get a lift with some decent travel. I did a 6” drop down on my 2500. It runs good on the road but it would be nice to have some extra travel off road.

Nice. So glad to see GM bring back rear air vent not located under the seat and tied into the circulation setting.

Still not moving away from my Ford ;)

BDS w 35’s rides really nice but expensive and involved. That would be my vote though, what I have on mine.

My vote would be for a full throttle suspension lift kit. I have their full setup on my f350 Dually and it rides awesome
