My dad had a 64? Buick wildcat. Upland to Chino, 1970.

When my daughter was born, I had a 1960 Chevy half ton. Baby seat was strapped in the middle. (motorcycle strap to the bottom of seat chassis) yeah, it was a 4 speed & 327. Kaiser Fontana to Apple Valley, in August. (Next week she'll be 27.) How did we survive?

I was brought home in this. 1929 model a pick up. Still have it. It’s in pieces up on a shelf in the shop. Will get to it one day. My dad took it apart 30 years ago because the frame was cracked and never put it back together. Finally told me to come get it before I needed a dust pan to retrieve it.

Not a bad number.
Was that you in the cab?
I always enjoy brackets.
Yes that was me driving, best number was 15.33 @99. something (just missed 100mph) and geared way high, (3.73 open diff and 33in tires) I was shifting into 3rd at the 1000ft mark. I really wanted to put 4.11 with a posi in it. It ran the 15.33 when I put a double pumper on it but it made so much more power that I had to relearn how to launch it, the first launch was a peg leg 500ft burnout.

There is a decent chance it was a Pinto wagon. Born today actually in 1975......
My parents bought it slightly used around that time and sold it about two weeks before the big thing with the "rolling barbeque"
The first car I remember being in was my Mom's 1960 lemon yellow Thunderbird. I still have the car tucked away next to the 67 Mustang i drove in high school in my shop. Some day I will get to both of them.

So born in 67. Have no idea what car it was. But I do know we had a 65 mustang fastback. Mom loved the car. I had fun crawling in the back area when the seat was folded down. Also had a 72 Buick centurion with a 455. I slept in the back window ledge on trips.
