It looks like Duran Duran has a 6 city tour this year with Lake Tahoe being one. Thought I'd throw it out for you guys that are products of the 80's. Picked up a few tickets this morning and I can't wait.

It's a really great venue. Here's a pic we snapped of the stage from our room when we went and saw The Who.

And the dates.

Saw them at Tower Records (RIP) parking lot on the Sunset Strip in mid 90s... Good tunes, brought back some good feelings...

Afterwards I bought the Greatest cd....

Is this a white linen suit, pink shirt and sockless night, or are you going full-tilt with the Tevas? :D

Looks like a good time either way!
I'm thinking I'll go with sports coat over a t-shirt, grow out my hair a little and dye my bangs blonde like I did '85....anything to be like John Taylor.:D

Crap that means I have to go see them because the wife loves their music. See the white tent structures, we get vip tickets in the one closest to the lake side for all the concerts so at least we do not have to deal with crowds, that would be the deal breaker for me I hate crowds.

It's a really great venue

WTF? How is it a great venue when everyone is in front of you? Stadium seating is the least I would accept if I am paying to see a band.

I might try a Vegas date if schedule allows.

So when I saw this on your FB earlier I was wondering if you were gonna post here, what with my little knowledge of Duran Duran.
Guess I need to listen to some now.

You guys remember Girls on Film, the X-Rated version when they played it on Select, or ON TV? I'm pretty sure they played it evebn before MTV started.

Watching recent vids, they still sound and look great. Have fun!

they have a very busy September 13th...
Interesting. The non headliners are not allowed to say what day they play kaaboo. It can mess up the one day sales. I bet that's just the date since it starts the 13th. That's the day we are going.

It's relatively small and it sits right next to Lake Tahoe. Not a bad seat in the place.

Fucker.
We were kind of hoping to get our hot rod then.
Thought maybe if you were free you could’ve helped us get from home to pick up place.

Great venue for sure. We get sky box for all the concerts so no crowds to deal with, private entrance and bathrooms :) and all the free food and drinks you want. This one was at the Dave Mathews band on Friday night sold out almost 10k people and standing room only down on the floor, this coming Friday we will be at DD show.

We were In Vegas on the 7th. Had I known they were there I would have gotten tickets for me and the wife.

Nice meeting you PaPaG! One of the best shows I’ve seen in a long long time! We were close enough to see Simon hitting the oxygen between songs. The altitude is no joke.

Nice meeting you and the 2nd halve as well. It was also one of the best shows we have ever seen as well. They put on an amazing show and sound as good live as they do in their recordings, I was hesitant on going but the wife really wanted to go and I am glad she convinced me, we would see them again.

Still processing what an awesome show it was. I've seen a ton a of concerts and many at this same venue....don't ever remember seeing not one person sit down throughout a whole show.

Here was the set list.... The sunrise/new moon mix, white lines and Rio were just rad.
Fuck that, every song was rad.

Not to mention Talking to Aaron Hagar about how he bought his Dad's red Trans Am back and is going to surprise his pops with it on his bday.
