View attachment 815809 View attachment 815810 just bought a 2019 F150 Ecoboost. Max tow pkg, 3.55 gears etc. put a 6inch lift and 37’s on it so I need some horsepower back. What are some good upgrades that won’t void my warranty.
3.55 axle on a towing truck is stupid! You need a 4.10 rear end or a V-8 or both it you want to raise it, put big tires on it, and tow with it.
With a 10speed I wouldn’t think you would be able to notice upping tire size as much?
I thought these ecoboosts were torque monsters and now you’re telling me that 7th-10th gear can’t pull a 37?He probably does not want to drive around in 6th gear (out of 10) all the time..
The ratio spread is not drastically wider, there is just a finer range of gears for the truck to run in.
Compared to stock, with 37”s it probably feels like a turd.
A standard 3.5 F150 with 3.55s is faster than a 3.5 Raptor.

Nice rig! What size fifth wheel do you tow? [emoji16]

Have you seen the Chevys?I’m sorry but that is one fucking ugly ft end they put on the 19s

Maybe I should clarify.... the truck drives great. It’s fast and has no issues after the lift. In my opinion I lost a “little” power which was obviously expected. It was a rocket before and it’s fast now. I’m simply talking about doing an intake or something to get back a few horsepower.
Lol and we are off.
The 3.5 makes way more torque than the 5.0 V8. The lowest gear available for either engine in the F150 is 3.55. The reason for that is because of the 10 speed trans.
With 37’s he should probably swap gears in the truck.
You can get 3.73's with a 5.0. Did a 2020 build the other day.
My 2014 F-150 Lariat supercrew came with the Maxtow 502a package. 3:73 gears, EL diff etc..... Owner's manual states>
3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine
Your vehicle is designed to run on regular fuel with an octane rating of
87 or higher. For best overall performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using premium fuel will be most noticeable in hot weather or in severe duty applications such as towing a trailer.
So, driving around town I use 87 only. Before trailer trip, I drive the tank near empty and fill it with 93 octane.
It tows my Denali 289 RKS effortlessly.
So by saying the OP doesn’t want to drive around in 6th gear all the time you werent implying the truck couldn't pull 7th-10th? You even said it yourself it’s a close ratio transmission and that’s why in my original comment I said I was surprised he could tell enough to want more power. We aren't talking about putting 37s on a 4L60 truck. I guaranty if if the OP let someone drive his truck the last thing they would think is “man this thing is sluggish.”It’s simple physics. I never said it can’t pull a 37, it’s just going to be sluggish compared to what it was.
The truck isn’t geared for 37s. The transmission can’t fix that.
Go put 33s in your Vette and report back.

Should’ve gotten a Raptor, you can get 4.10’s and the 450hp EcoBoom.
A regular F150 with a 3.5 and 3.55s is faster than the Raptor on the street. Whoops
Haha, we even have 94 now at Petro Canada gastation [ was 87 89 and 91 before ] at the bottom of the hill below Area27. They've added the 94 pump for us track rats. Before, only Chevron had the 94 in downtown Oliver.F UUUUU with your 93 octane pump gas.
A crew cab 4wd 3.5 with 3.55's will 0-60 in the high 5 second range.
A crew cab raptor will 0-60 in the low 5 second range.
A 2wd crew cab 3.5 with 3.55's probably mid 5's in optimal conditions.
My 2wd supercrew rolls a stock 2017 Raptor supercrew every time... we raced like 5 times lol.
This test is a 4WD on 18s (which probably make the difference), still faster than the Raptor.
750 hp and 800 ft lbs in a half tonHow much power does the factory have to offer before everyone stops fucking with their trucks lol

We basically are talking about adding 37s to a 4l60.. it is the same problem. The 10 speed has a very low 4.7 first, but the actual ratio spread from gears 2-9 is 2.99 2nd gear -.64 10th gear.
A 4l60 ratio spread is 3.06 1st gear -.7 4th gear. Yes the 10 speed has many more gears to keep the engine in its peak power band, but aside from first, the ratio spreads are similar.
750 hp and 800 ft lbs in a half ton
In a 3/4 ton 800 hp and 1800 ft lbs
18k lplCan’t wait to see the tow rating on the half ton [emoji41][emoji41]

0.64 OD becomes quite tall with 37’s...it may never shift into 10th gear LOL

The TFL guys need driving lessons.
Raptor is a 5.1 zero to 60 truck. 1/4 mile 13.7-13.8.
yeah sure whatever you say bullyA regular F150 with a 3.5 and 3.55s is faster than the Raptor on the street. Whoops
