Cool, the one last winter in BigBear was great to watch, at least until the one chick died in the blizzard.

Seems odd that they would leave the egg unattended, I thought one of the couple normally stays in the nest to watch it.

She's back but I'm no eggspert but i would think she would have to sit on it all day
Found another cam
https://www.berry.edu/eaglecam/

Did some research, mom or dad have to be on the egg 24/7 from the moment it pops out or else its toast. They usually lay two or three and then the strongest chick survives, it wins the fights over food and the others die or get attacked by the superior chick. Thats what happened on the big bear camera last winter, the weaker chick froze too death one night, the strong guy survived and then the other bad ass chick ate some of him. This ensures that there are no pussy bald eagles out there, as it should be.

I think there is a second egg that she is on and they gave up on the other one, it sat uncovered all last night.

A couple of guys ice fishing in Maine earlier this week noticed a bald eagle watching them. They put a freshly caught fish on the ice and arranged a smartphone to video.

The eagle was perched in a tree over a hundred yards away, but with the fantastic vision that raptors have, it saw the fish and flew out to investigate.

The eagle landed, eyed the fish for a few seconds, then took it. It's a pretty cool vid.

Looks like some bad shit went down last night, mom and dad is gone, and so is egg. Thats two that they have lost, other eagles and ravens come in and eat them.

Damn that one is up close, the Lake Pleasant couple moved across the lake, too far from the camera

I went Salmon fishing in Alaska last summer, they were everywhere. They came in for scraps every afternoon. I think the highest count was 31.

My son and I went trout fishing down in San Diego at Lake Cuyamaca last summer, we were supposed hit the high sierras but they closed for fire prevention the week before we left. This Bald Eagle was circling us for a while, all I had was my cell to take some pics.
