I don't think he was clearing that.. He landed 50' short of it..

Either way that's a bad day in the TT.

It looks (from this angle/view) that he came up short on the double...or was long on the landing by hitting the previous jump fast. Anytime the front end gets stuffed, and a front wheel leaves town, it hurts. Not much control, nor time to pray. We did it in a 7 truck 20 years ago, and probably only a third the speed. Ours was both lack of skill and equipment. These poor guys had the skill, and the equipment...but I think you need a bit of luck too. They walked away...pride gets hurt, but trucks get rebuilt.

I wonder how close he actually got to the guy in the blue? In the video if you pause it you can see the guy diving out of the way and the audio
you can hear someone say he just ran the guy over. Looked pretty close.

That pic and this one are stills from my video just before we all ran. :D Things happen in a blink at that speed. LOL screams were priceless.

The previous rolled white truck is sitting on the left. If BITD wasn’t there pushing spectators back someone would have been a hood ornament.

I've seen a couple of different videos, I would say it was way too close.

Is it just me or does Baldwin come off as a douchebag?
100% Grade-A douchebag...

My son went up to him 2 years ago (6yr old who WAS a fan) while he sat in his truck at tech. My son said "Can I get a picture with BJ Baldwin?" That Dbag then looks at his passenger and says "I don't know, is there a BJ Balwin here?"....Total dick move...Took everything I had to not punch his punchable face.

Typical trust fund baby.

How far down from the cattle guard off of Shea is this? And what time tomorrow do you need to get there to find a parking spot? Thanks.

The other post are from Wednesday's trials course and not part of the race course. Good action for the classes on Saturday will be long Shea at the spectator area just past the cattle guard where it goes from CRIT to BLM. Spectators can't be on or near the course. There will be signs on the right side of the road at the area to watch just past the cattle guard. About 2/3 the way down that spectator area there is a kicker that always proves entertaining. First truck goes at first light (7:15 I believe but check). Personally I d be there by 6 am to get a primo spot.

This is me filming the roll over of the Wilson buggy at that spot. My video footage was featured in the movie Bragging Rights 4. LOL my 15 minutes of fame. :D More importantly the guys were ok.

3 reasons for that....

1. Its early
2. Its all the boring classes today
3. You are in a shitty area to watch the race. :D

You should see the video and other sequence stills. Amazing shots, even more so that my buddy was behind me shooting the still sequence

This is 6th to last in the entire sequence. I like it because the only thing touching is the front wheel as its coming down, plus the sunrise. Only made good because the guys walked away.

There is a video and photo floating around on Facebook of a guy who slammed into a concrete post in Osborne Wash under the 95 hard enough that it wrapped the the front wheels around it and looked like it was not coming off the post easily. The Sundance truck that I was crewing for suffered an engine fire (as of last night we think a turbo caused it) about 20 miles into the 2nd lap. They would not allow it to be removed from the course until about 8pm last night.
