New 26 NuEra in production. This will be the first full walk through open bow 26. It should be an awesome setup!
It will be powered by a Mercury Racing 540.

Balsa core prep for vacuum bag lamination.

Thats going to be a great set up

I saw a 2750 for sale that was a walk through. I didn’t know it was possible.

Just about anything is possible at Lavey Craft!

That 2750 was originally a mid cabin.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a full walk through 2750??
And, I’ve seen a lot of 2750s :D

It’s the one and only. Customer had it done after the fact, I think it was owner #3 on that boat. Yellow boat, same graphics as the original 32.

It’s not standard on all models. 2750 NuEra, 29 NuEra, 32 NuEra, 28 Evo, 39 Evo, 27 Sabre, 28 Party Prowler, 26 RPM all get vacuum bag standard. All other models is an option.

Forgive my ignorance but what are the major differences between the 26 and 2750 besides length?

Length and performance.

The 26 NuEra was not designed to be an all out speed performer. It was designed to be a good sized 26' that handles all water conditions and does good in all areas and a family sport cruiser. The bottom design on the 26 is slightly different compared to the 2750. Power for power the 2750 is quite a bit faster and to get the 26 over 80mph takes a bit of power. For example; I've ran a 26 with a Merc 600 and it ran 82 mph, I've ran a 2750 with a Merc 600 and it ran high 80's, I've ran a 29 with a Merc 600 and it ran 84-85 mph.

Cockpit on the 26 is 77W x 70L x 40H. 2750 is 77W x 80L x 36H

The transom V degree is steeper on the 2750 and the V entry degree on the 2750 is quite a bit steeper also.

Boy is that a great way to open up the usable space on this boat. I always wondered who might design them like this in the next size up from traditional 23' walk through, just didn't know if structural integrity would remain and now I see how its done. I never use my cuddy area really at all on my 29' Magic Wizard Open Bow... always near shore in cooler temps. I understand the AZ heat might make that shade a needed area perhaps.

Here are a couple pictures that show the fiberglass bulkheads we made for the walk through hallway that also as a recessed door. You can also see the fiberglass floor ski locker and ice chest.

I spotted a 29' Magic Wizard that was for sale 5 years ago that had been customized or retro fitted to follow this design layout. Man was that a huge front bow area.... a virtual playpen. I bet some of our members might have seen that rare looking thing over the years out on the river. I think it had red white & blue graphics. I couldn't help but think with 12 bodies up front that ballast would become a challenge, lol. Everyone wants to go up to the playpen for sure.

The vertical fiberglass with the door recessed in it is more than just an overlay. We made a piece from a mold that is fully balsa cored and it is the bulkhead for the walk through hallway. The ski locker fiberglass is a separate piece that we also make so we can move/locate the compartment/opening exactly where the customer wants it to be.

Lavey announced on here a while back that they're moving out of IE.... not sure I remember where to but seemed like a temporary halt in operations while regrouping. You may be able to find out more on a different thread on RDP.

I just hope they stay in business, as a Lavey 26 WTOB will probably be my next boat if I stay in California. Otherwise it would be a Lavey 30 WTOB if I retire out of state.
