Looks like i got bit by the restoration bug! After last season i noticed a couple soft spots. In the main walkin paths so since big river is still closed figured why not sweat off some weight and beer and dig into the fun. Here are a few starting cuts and pieces removed. Definitely more moisture under there in some spots then i expected.
Also on the plan is button up some of the new interior from last season. Flooring will be a sweet knock of gatorstep that looks the same and feel the same, cant lie i am a bit cheap and hey come on its a jet bote after all 🍻😂

Wow, more than I expected.

Doing the floor in my Eliminator Day Cruiser right now. Everything was dry, but a 44 year old floor needed some help.

Good luck with the project.

Thank you for the support its needed haha. Only 28 years old on this original floor. I cant complain. Waiting for the itch to start when the sanding prep and glassing begin.
stringers are solid 👍🏽 2 Bulkheads or whatever definitely rotted away haha

good luck with your project as well. We will get there eventually! Cheers!

Here is a small recap of the original interior of back to back seats and old school dog house, the wifey said it needs a sun deck hatch so i pulled out the old last year and then picked up some buckets, bench, and a engine hatch pulled from i think an old ultra and got to work making it all fit and doing the upholstery an update. New bases are being made as i do the flooring and fix a few of the mounting issues with the seats, plus adding two 6.5 speakers in the rear side panels.

another plus my flooring showed up today and the colors are just about identical to my new seat vinyl and piping colors :) accidental win there 🍻

some shots of the new upholstery end of last year the flooring gator step knock off, original
Interior from 92 along with the take offs i had from a ultra boat

Nice project. Are you sure stringers are OK? That a lot of moisture over a long period of time to rot the bulkheads? I've replaced some that tap out just fine but were saturated when I took them out. Only a matter of time to rot. Anytime I've replaced rotted floors/bulkheads, I've done stringer, too just to make it all new and never have t oworry about it again.

Thanks for the insight! Always appreciated. I was thinking the same thing and my pops did some poking around and we did a few drill through holes along the way across the bottom inch or so of the stringers and all were solid and pure tan color wood shaving. Then we filled them in after. I did notice that the small center bulk heads were regular layered ply, almost looked like cheap osb board. They were also not glassed or resined so i think they rotted pretty easily over the years. The only 2 glassed / resin bulk heads i found were the bilge one right in front of the motor and the on right where the open bow drops down to the hull were you put your feet.

Got some more finished up today. Forgot more pictures 🤦🏽‍♂️, Got side tracked trying to beat the heat and resin while tabbin in the the new bulkheads and getting my 3\4 board all set up and test fit. So far so good. Hopefully wrap up all the joints and get her sanded all smooth and ready for the eva foam flooring. 🍻👍🏽

Alright finally got her all covered up with the knock off gator step special and got the interior all secured and back in business. Plenty of clean up detailing to do but all in all i am good with how it all came out and ready to go floating!!
Should be worth around 35k now after the new floor! 😂😂

Floor looks great, what product did you use? Was it fairly straightforward to cut and install?

I honestly chose a random one while looking on amazon for other stuff ha. It worked pretty well and is a bit stiff if your trying to tuck it under or around curves but contact cement along with the pressure self adhesive and i got it stuck good. Cutting was super easy with a pack of new razor blades.
