What’s Up Spectra club!
Does anyone have any bow railings, windshields, and/or original gas caps??? (Gas cap shown in picture)
Or does anyone know where to have a windshield or gas cap made?

There's a pair of gas fills on eBay, base's are a little different but if you only need a cap this is probably cheaper than having one machined.

I have several gas caps, the bad thing about these caps is that they vibrate on and off, left side gets loose right side gets tight, even with anti seize they get stuck. Over the years people took pipe wrenches to these and galled them up or they actually fall off, these things weight 2 pounds, can imagine catching one of these thru the windshield, I know folks who have lost them in transit.

These are NICSON brass chrome units and I think there is actually enough meat on these bones to put them in a lathe to clean up and re-nerl than re chrome. I love them but went a different route on my Spectra so I never put them in the lathe and tried this. My dad still has these on a Sanger so keeping the best ones for him... here is the ugly one, let me know if you are interested, I am in Long Beach.

Never had a problem with them coming loose on any boat I’ve had them on and the strip this summer has been a good test.
Lucky I guess.

that's strange, every boat we have had them on has done that? kind of figured that was why there are folks looking for just the one periodically. Maybe we drive like lunatics :)

I figured if I ever lost one it'd be at the gas dock. Even though I always make sure the little chains are good, I think the weight of the cap would snap it right off if it fell.

If I asked you before I forgot, where in LB do you live? We're near Woodruff and Spring.

I am at Long Beach and Bixby (Virginia Country Club area) just West of Steel Craft. We always took the dam chains off, seems not matter how hard you police someone always wants to help and they unscrew that cap and think its loose and that dam chain pulls it out of their hands and bang, i just walked away... i was 5 when dad cut those things off :)
