Yep sun spider, or solpugid, or vinegaroon. Sometimes aggressive little effers, but not poisonous.

Sometimes and aggressive are both understatements. Those things take crap from no one and will gladly chase you. They are pretty funny, actually... once you understand they aren’t poisonous and you can just let them be.

He’s stuck in my pool that hasn’t been seen plaster yet. Ill leave him be. Maybe fish him out somehow. Sounds like a good thing to have around eating all the other bugs. Especially is not poisonous

Only 2 rare spider groups have no venom meaning almost ALL spiders have venom. NOW....not all spiders have fangs long enough to bite through human skin either (Daddy Long Legs). Spiders use venom to kill their prey and eat and therefore live. The rare few spiders that have no venom are scavengers and eat already dead insects, bugs and RDP spider scaredy-cats.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the spider at the start of this thread is venomous. Black widows are vermin as far as I'm concerned. I don't allow them in the house. If they're outside and not threatening me, I leave em be or let the resident house Tarantula, Special, take care of them. Yes his name is Special. Yes spiders will eat spiders....especially females eating males after mating....reminds me of what my last GF tried to do to me.....Anyway.

Most spiders and tarantulas will bite you. If you get bit, you're prolly not gonna die.

This is Special. He likes to watch NCIS with me......
