So very sorry to hear this, BTW I have enjoyed your stories for years, hope you feel better....Well it’s official everything up at my Berry Creek property is now ashes...
... The closest to my heart loss was definitely the Hallett...
... it doesn’t look like this anymore...

Out of the hospital is better than in. Sorry to hear about the boats and property....Oh thanks man...A day out of the hospital trying to get it back together here...???
Nice
Tell me more about this model. If I remember only a few of these built (with the drop down dash )
Really clean boat
Thank youI
I’ll link (or try) to a thread I started years ago about it on another forum. I wish I knew more about the model, but it did seem pretty rare (one of six as told to me by the third owner who I bought it from). Bubbledeck, with that strange - bit cool IMO - gauge pod dash. Sanger titled it as a 19 foot Family Ski. It was a 1971 model, but wasn’t sold until 1975, with the first owner being drag boat racer Jack Cayer. Let’s see if the link works. If not, I’ll copy/paste the text.

Sitting at my desk, at work, looking at this picture thinking”What the fuck did I do wrong?”This guy out enjoying himself on this fine Wednesday afternoon. He had the place to himself for 15m til two plow boats and a squadron of jetskis pee'd in his cheerios.

...I had forgotten that I shot this video about 12 years ago... on a balmy day when I had the entire lake of Lake Oraville all to myself...
...I have seen photos of the carnage of all my toys from the fire...but I don’t have anything that isolates the the ashes of the Hallett as of yet...
...Thanks my friend and to everyone else for their support...definitely been a rough one...I am out of the hospital and slowly recovering ...it turns out I have Diviculoratosis..pollups catching food in my lower intestine...not fun at all...I’m going to have to go through a severe diet change...Shouldn’t be a problem ...long long time ago I did a three-year stint as a vegetarian ... Which during that time is when I built the elaborate solar power system in my motorhome ...which also is now ashes from the fire...don’t think I’ll have to take the diet that far this time...I wish I had some words that would make this better, Willie. It's a terrible thing.
I hope you recover from the health issue soon.

...I have to agree with you Chubbs was on the spot ...I got a check in the mail for the Hallett..it was stated value at $8000 so that’s what I got ...with the price of Used He boats these days I probably should’ve raised tHeinsurance but I didn’t...So I got what I gotSorry for your loss Will at least you weren't there we have a lot of friends in Sonoma that have been crushed by this I think you mentioned you have Chubb great insurance
Yes, I think flat bottoms are alive. Here is part of my collection.
Big Thanks to Daren Dean and Dave Sammons for keeping this party going.
You own all those boats?? Damn...all I have is 1 and lucky to have that...Beautiful collectionYes, I think flat bottoms are alive. Here is part of my collection.

you hit right on the nail.......i dont mind a eve pass by myself makes me happy..........when im down...Although there is not too many flats in New England the enjoyment my boat brings to so many people every summer is more than enough.
Maybe its just me but taking the boat out takes on a whole life of its own compared to the other 3 boats I have/had this year.
I tell people there have been times where my mood kind of sucked and I would hook up the flat and go for a ride by myself, left the water a different person, kind of a nirvana.
