We watched the movie Mr. Right with Sam Rockwell, kind of an okay movie, but I really liked the main song "My Type" by Saint Motel, a bunch of hipster looking dudes, but the song is pretty catchy, but don't listen to it before bed, the stupid sax becomes an ear worm.

She joined them again at Kaaboo last year. There's a great HQ vid of the entire set. It's funny to watch because clearly they didn't practice and hit wrong chords and notes. Great set, they played many of their first songs they ever recorded.

I saw them in 1987 at the Santa Monica Civic and Belinda Carlisle and her posse stood next to the rest of us in the audience and she danced the entire concert undisturbed.

I read that she was back with them.
Cool!

Lol, the Spotify year end wrap-ups are out.

Me, I'm 54 and work for the State and have been at the home office since the Pandemic started.

Daughter is 17 and a Senior in high school

Which summary belongs to me?

I started listening but can’t scroll on the phone and continue listening at the same time.
I do subscribe to you tube music which does let me listen and scroll.

Gotta love a chick that can sing Maiden without looking at lyrics on an iPad. She sings a great version of Jane/Jefferson Starship...maybe even better than Mickey

My daughter suggested I look at this vid. I liked it!

I was surprised with her rendition of that, I dig Debbie Harry. In fact we were set to go to Cruel World earlier this year, I wanted to see Debbie Harry and Johnny Rotten/PIL before they check out...but f*in Rona fawked that up.

Anyhow, thanks for sharing.

Good stuff!

X2. Sometimes she does a great job, like with Jolene, and she did pretty good with the Joan Jett HOF induction. Tommy James sounds pretty damn good too considering his age...

To be honest this is a toss up. The Bangles is really throwing me off.

But it is obvious you gave your daughter a well rounded musical upbringing.

I'm going by minutes listened alone. You are the 32,034 minutes?

Yup. :D

Spotify is pretty bad ass, except for the "remastered" crap. Fir sure it changed the way we listen and collect music. When I was younger, I dreamt of collecting thousands of records. On Spotify, despite the fact you can find any album I want...I only have about 30-40 downloaded.

That was great. My 23 year old daughter is going to like that. She likes Dave Grohl.

She likes everything, even some oldschool country like Waylon and Hank Sr...and the edgier stuff...including the Vandals, and she flys her DK sticker on the Jeep!

I used to hoard MP3s and have a huge volume of them. It became a PITA to manage them and my kid gets free Spotify via her job so that is what I use now. My problem is trying to build playlists cause I don't remember song names.
