I tried and liked the CBD gummies for sleep a few weeks ago. I'm assuming the THC versions do a better job?

Find Indica/CBD in a 20mg dose, excellent for sleeping/mild pain relief.

Sativa is generally uplifting/energizing while Indica is the shit that makes you melt into your couch/lazy.

Along with the OP, I started smoking again after 7 years off, been 2 months now a few at night. However I did manage to quit drinking daily, so there's that.

I am way down on the booze, and on chantix again so cutting down on the smokes as we speak..

I am considering quitting drinking entirely for awhile but I gotta admit that seems an almost impossible task with the lifestyle / business I have built.

I thought the same, it’s amazing what holding a n/a beer in your hands does to the psyche, makes you not feel like a dork at parties. And it’s quite funny at times to watch the fucked up people making idiots of themselves and knowing I’m gonna feel fine tomorrow.

Stop now, it'll just get more difficult with each passing day. Think about the health risks, the nasty fu*king smell that permeates everything, and the cost. Don't forget the cost includes increased health insurance premiums.

Don't say "I'm trying to quit." That admits failure before you even take a step. Don't rationalize your actions by saying it's "a few at night."

After seven years, your lungs had repaired almost all of the damage done. Don't allow yourself to undo that.

I'm not singling you out or preaching. The words above are genuine concern. Think. Act. You can do it.

If you must drink and look like normal, just find a N/A beer you like and bring it everywhere. I just plain tell people I'm not drinking right now, laugh about "resetting my check liver light" and most people are supportive. I love drinking and smoking lol! I am trying to stay off booze like last year when I dropped 80lbs over a few months by just eating right, walking for 30 min a day and no drinking booze.

After three years of tobacco free I started smoking again, so I guess that qualifies as stupid.

Same advice for you. Don't fall back into the trap. Your life could literally depend on the decision.

Again, I'm not criticizing. I have genuine concern for you, and I'll be sending you energy to help you succeed.

Carrying Harbor Freight crap tools off roading ,
Thinking to do so so I can leave them with someone that needs them and moving on, when I end up using them and being pissed I didn’t bring better tools.
Yes, stupid

Had

Had a heart attack two years ago and quit smoking that day. Chewing nicotine gum since. Can’t shake that shit. Down to 2 milligram at least. LOL
Yes, now addicted to the gum! What I try to do is buy a bunch at $12 off when it is on sale at Costco.com...... I like the spearmint for a change.

Man, I've tried to like it- really have. Everything I've sampled just made me sleepy or cloudy. Amy and I watch movies where everyone is happy, giggly and enjoying a good buzz and we're both asking, "where's that shit?".
The new weed is a science... something you could most likely get behind once you've connected to the correct expert or stoner friend. [I suggest asking your kids] I have a friend in the biz who doesn't drink or smoke cigs or do blow these days. He had a delivery over at my home few years back and laid out about four different strains of weed each in a separate canister. He said this one here gets you moving and going to the gym for a great workout.... over hear this one promotes clear thinking & focus.... this one here well thats the one you old farts are so scared of cause you took a puff in high school and curled up in the corner with a toll house cookie hanging out your mouth paranoid as shit for hours. Now I can't say I've found the one that pushes me to the gym... but I did find one that I can be on the ocean all day at speed, drinking beer in sun and still have energy and coordination, focus to dock at end of a long day. There are weed experts everywhere now... keep asking, you'll find your blend and will never pickup a can of liquid speed again.

This I am a gummy nightly for sleep, feel great every morning no hangover. Got to get behind the science. I look for the therpenes and I know which ones now my body reacts to. So I buy those. Basically have quit drinking and vaping since switching to weed. Bill is right I have weed for pain, sleep, focus, energy, and stoner weed for lazy. All serve their purpose.

Gummies every night, only way I have ever found to get about 3-4 hours of sleep a night. And now you can buy them in Havasu instead of making the trip to Needles.
Is there a preferred shop in Havasu, or a dude that does house calls? My wife has the later here in the OC, but wants to stock up tomorrow in Havasu.

If I quit the kodiak , Marlboro , bud light , pbr’s , JD and the Red Bull ( occasional non over the counter) I wouldn’t be in a 35’ fountain. Thinking MTI SOMETHING SOMETHING.

I was on a routine of milk and donuts or cookies every night before bed and in the morning for breakfast. That came to a abrupt end last when I ended up in the ER dying in pain .. turns out I have gall stones.. had to cut that dairy and fat out cold turkey.. I'd imagine it was as hard as quitting drinking... but I'm not there yet..😉

But I always feel fine the next day. For some reason, I don't get hungover. I do mix in a lot if water when I'm drinking though. I don't need a lot of sleep, and only sleep 3-5 hours a night. So that probably helps also.

Up until recently, I was a 4-5 cups of coffee a day guy.

I had been battling with what I thought was a sinus/right ear infection for a while and every time I went to go see the doctor, they would give me a round of antibiotics and steroids to fight the "infection" and I would be better for a little while but it would always return a week or so after I ran out of my prescriptions. Finally after the third time about 2 months ago, I went to go see a specialist (ear/nose/throat). As it turns out I had been clenching so hard in my sleep that my jaw muscles were putting extreme pressure on my right ear canal, my right eye socket, and causing my sinuses to close. You would have thought that I would have had some tooth or jaw pain but no....

I miss my coffee :( I have reluctantly forced myself down to 1 cup a day. I let myself cheat on the weekends with a half cup refill but it's been a tough go.

Funny this came up. This week i quit drinking 3-5 coors lights after work every day.
That was me 4 weeks ago. Would have minimum 6 pack+ M-F and 12+ F-S for the past 25+ years. Started feeling like a big turd as I haven't been as active the past few months and decided to turn it off for a while. As of today I have no desire to have a beer (or drink) and have lost 7 pounds. A lot easier to get up early every morning as well. LOL

All you other inmates that are prisoner to those cancer sticks need to turn that nasty shit off. It's the single worse package of substances you can voluntarily ingest into your body at one given time. You got this!

My vice is Beer, IPA's... But on the subject of 5 hour energy's, I have always found them to be clean burning and work very well for times that I need to drive while I'm tired. My early morning travels to Havasu in the RV towing the boat involved a 5 hour energy chased by a Redbull Tallboy.. Always worked like a champ with little to no side affects. Nothing worse than driving while tired and 5 hr energy has help me many times over.

welcome to my world..

I saw an ad a couple of days ago for Budweiser NA. It's becoming a thing. For me, the best NA beers are St Pauli Girl and Beck, but they're expensive. Old Milwaukee NA is the best cheaper NA, much better than O'Doul's and Sharp's. Busch NA is OK.

New Coors is awesome, I like the Busch N/a on the boat in the summer.
